Chapitre sur le Suivi de la Sunnah et Preuves du Livre

3. A number of our people has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father from al-Nadr ibn Suwayd from Yahya al-Halab from Ayyub ibn al-Hurr who has said the following. “Abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) has said, ‘Everything must be referred to the holy Quran and the Sunnah, the noble traditions of the holy Prophet (s.a.) and any Hadith that does not agree with the holy Quran it is a useless statement.’”

Nombre 3 - Un certain nombre de nos compagnons de Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid, de son père, de Nadhr ibn Suwayd, de Yahya al-Halabi, d'Ayyub ibn al-Hurr, ont dit : J'ai entendu Abu 'Abdullah (sur lui la paix) dire : "Tout est renvoyé au Livre et à la Sunna, et tout hadith qui ne correspond pas au Livre d'Allah est une fabrication."

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ibn Faddal from Ali ibn ‘Uqba from Ayyub ibn Rashid from abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) who has said the following. “Of Hadith whatever does not agree with the holy Quran is a useless statement.”

4 - Muhammad ibn Yahya, d'Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, d'Ibn Faddal, d'Ali ibn Uqba, d'Ayyub ibn Rashid, d'Abu Abdallah (que la paix soit sur lui) a dit : "Tout hadith qui ne concorde pas avec le Coran est une fabrication."

5. Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from ibn abu ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn al-Hakam and others from abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) who has said the following. “The holy Prophet once addressed the people in Mina (a place in Makkah) saying, “O people, whatever comes to you in the form of my Hadith you must see if it agrees with the holy book of Allah then know that I have said it but whatever comes to you that does not agree with the book of Allah then know that I have not said it.”

5. Muhammad ibn Isma'il, de la part de Al-Fadl ibn Shadhan, de la part d'Ibn Abi Umair, de la part de Hisham ibn Al-Hakam et d'autres encore, de la part d'Abu Abdullah (que la paix soit sur lui) a dit : Le Prophète (que la prière d'Allah et Son salut soient sur lui et sa famille) a prononcé un discours à Mina et a dit : "Ô gens, tout ce qui vous parvient de ma part et qui est en accord avec le Livre d'Allah, je l'ai dit, et tout ce qui vous parvient de ma part et qui contredit le Livre d'Allah, je ne l'ai pas dit."

6. It is narrated through the same chain of narrators from ibn abu ‘Umayr from certain persons of his people who has said the following. “Abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) who has said, ‘Whoever disagrees with the book of Allah and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.) he has certainly become a unbeliever.’”

Par cet isnad, de la part d'Ibn Abi 'Umayr, de certains de ses compagnons, qui ont dit : J'ai entendu Abu 'Abdullah (sur lui la paix) dire : "Celui qui va à l'encontre du Livre d'Allah et de la Sunna de Muhammad (que la prière d'Allah et Ses bénédictions soient sur lui et sa famille) a certes mécru."

7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa ibn ‘Ubayd from Yunus in a marfu’ manner from Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.) who has said the following. “The best deed in the sight of Allah is the one that is performed according to the Sunnah, the noble tradition of the holy Prophet (s.a.) even if it would be in small degree.”

7. Ali ibn Ibrahim a rapporté de Muhammad ibn Isa ibn Ubayd, de Yunus, qui a dit : Ali ibn al-Hussein (que la paix soit sur eux) a dit : "Certes, les meilleures actions aux yeux d'Allah sont celles accomplies selon la Sunna, même si elles sont peu nombreuses."

8. A number of our people has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from ‘Isma’il ibn Mihran from abu Sa‘id al-Qammat and Salih ibn Sa‘id from Aban ibn Taghlib who has said the following. “A man asked a question from Imam abu Ja‘far (a.s.) who replied to it and then the man said, “The Fuqaha, scholars of law, do not say this.” The Imam then said, “It is a pity. Have you ever seen a Faqih, a scholar of law? The real Faqih, scholar of law is one who maintains restraint from the worldly matters, who is deeply interested in the life hereafter and holds firmly to the Sunnah, noble tradition of the holy prophet (s.a.)”

Nombre de nos compagnons ont rapporté d'Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid, d'Ismaïl ibn Mihran, d'Abu Sa'id al-Qammati et Salih ibn Sa'id, d'Aban ibn Taghlib, de l'Imam Abu Ja'far (que la paix soit sur lui) qu'il fut interrogé sur une question et y répondit en disant : "Un homme dit : 'Les jurisconsultes ne disent pas cela.' Il répondit : 'Malheur à toi ! As-tu jamais vu un jurisconsulte ? Le véritable jurisconsulte est celui qui délaisse ce monde, aspire à l'au-delà et s'attache à la tradition du Prophète (que la prière d'Allah et Son salut soient sur lui et sa famille)."

9. A number of our people has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father from abu ’Isma‘il Ibrahim ibn Ishaq al-Azdi from abu ‘Uthman al-‘Abdi from Ja’far from his ancestors from Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (a.s.) who has said the following. “There are no words without action, thee are no words or actions without intention and there are no words, actions and intentions without learning the Sunnah, the noble traditions of the holy Prophet, (s.a.).

9 - Un certain nombre de nos compagnons ont rapporté d'Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid, de son père, d'Abu Isma'il Ibrahim ibn Ishaq al-Azdi, d'Abu Uthman al-Abdi, de Ja'far, de ses ancêtres, de l'Imam des croyants (que la paix soit sur lui) qui a dit : Le Messager d'Allah (que la prière d'Allah et Son salut soient sur lui et sa famille) a dit : "Il n'y a pas de parole sans acte, ni de parole et d'acte sans intention, ni de parole, d'acte et d'intention sans conformité à la Sunna."

10. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ahmad ibn al-Nadr from ‘Amr ibn Shimr from Jabir from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following. “There is no one without excitement and calmness. Whoever’s calmness would lead him towards the Sunnah, noble traditions of the holy prophet (s.a.), he is rightly guided but if it would lead him towards innovations then he has gone astray.”

10 - Ali ibn Ibrahim, de son père, d'Ahmad ibn an-Nadr, d'Amr ibn Shimr, de Jabir, de l'Imam Abu Ja'far (que la paix soit sur lui) a dit : "Il n'y a personne qui n'ait une période d'égarement et une période de guidance. Celui dont la période d'égarement mène à la Sunna s'est bien dirigé, et celui dont la période d'égarement mène à l'innovation s'est égaré."

11. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Barqi from Ali ibn Hassa’n and Muhammad ibn Yahya from Salama ibn al-Khattab from Ali ibn Hassa’n from Musa ibn Bakr from Zurara ibn A‘yan from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following. “Whoever may transgress against the Sunnah, noble traditions of the holy Prophet (s.a.), he must return to the Sunnah.”

11 - Ali ibn Muhammad, d'Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Barqi, d'Ali ibn Hassan et de Muhammad ibn Yahya, de Salama ibn al-Khattab, d'Ali ibn Hassan, de Musa ibn Bakr, de Zurara ibn A'yan, d'après Abi Ja'far (que la paix soit sur lui) a dit : "Quiconque transgresse la Sunna sera renvoyé à la Sunna."

12. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfali from al-Sakuni from abu ‘Abdallah from his ancestors (the Imams (a.s.) who have said the following. “Imam Ali (a.s.) said, ‘There are two kinds of Sunnah, (traditions). There is a Sunnah in obligations and following such Sunnah is guidance and its disregard is misguidance. There is a Sunnah, (tradition), in none obligatory issue. The following of this kind of Sunnah is a virtuous deed and its disregard for other matters is a sin.’”

12. Ali ibn Ibrahim a rapporté de son père, de An-Nawfali, de As-Sakuni, de Abu Abdillah, des Imams (la paix soit sur eux) : L'Imam des croyants (que la paix soit sur lui) a dit : "La Sunna est de deux sortes : une Sunna dans les obligations, la suivre est une guidance et l'abandonner est une égarement, et une Sunna en dehors des obligations, la suivre est une vertu et l'abandonner n'est pas une faute."
