Racines de l'Incrédulité

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from Nuh ibn Shu’ayb from ‘Abd Allah al-Dehqan from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘The things with which Allah was disobeyed first were six: Love of the worldly things, Love to be the leader, Love for food, Love to sleep, Love for comfort and Love of women (to such extremes that may lead one to sins).”’

Le Messager d'Allah (que la prière d'Allah et Son salut soient sur lui et sa famille) a dit : "Certes, la première chose par laquelle Allah, le Puissant et Majestueux, a été désobéi est l'amour de ce monde, l'amour du pouvoir, l'amour de la nourriture, l'amour du sommeil, l'amour du repos et l'amour des femmes."

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Talhah ibn Zayd from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Once a man from Khath’am (a tribe) came to the Holy Prophet and asked, ‘Which of the acts is more resented in the sight of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy?’ The Messenger of Allah said, ‘Considering things as partners of Allah.’ The man asked, then what is more resented?’ The Messenger of Allah said, ‘Disregard of maintaining good relations with relatives.’ The man asked, ‘Then what is more resented?’ The Messenger of Allah said, ‘Commanding others to commit unlawful acts and prohibiting them to perform obligatory ones.’”

Un homme de la tribu de Khath'am vint voir le Prophète (que la prière d'Allah et Son salut soient sur lui) et lui demanda : "Quelles sont les actions les plus détestées par Allah le Très-Haut ?" Il répondit : "L'association à Allah." L'homme demanda ensuite : "Et ensuite ?" Le Prophète répondit : "La rupture des liens de parenté." L'homme demanda encore : "Et ensuite ?" Le Prophète répondit : "Ordonner le blâmable et interdire le convenable."

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hassan ibn ‘Atiyyah from Yazid al-Sa’igh who has said the following: “Once I said to Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) ‘A man who is in this cause (belief of Shi’a Muslims), but the words he speaks are lies, disregards his promise, and violates his trust. What is his value?’ The Imam said, ‘It is very close to disbelief but he is not an unbeliever.’”

"C'est le plus bas des degrés de la mécréance, mais il n'est pas mécréant."

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfali from al-Sakuni from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Among the signs of wickedness is piercing eyes (devoid of bashfulness), hardheartedness, intense greed for worldly gains and persistence in sins.’”

Parmi les signes du malheur se trouvent la dureté du regard, la dureté du cœur, l'avidité excessive pour les biens de ce monde et la persistance dans le péché.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ali ibn Asbat from Dawud b al-Nu’man from abu Hamza from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following: “Once the Messenger of Allah addressed the people and asked, ‘Should I tell you about the wicked ones among you?’ They said, ‘Yes, O Messenger of Allah, please do so.’ The Messenger of Allah said, ‘They are those of you who refuse to make any gifts (to anyone), beat up their slaves and supplies just his own self. ’ They thought that Allah has not created any creature most wicked than such person. “Then the Messenger of Allah said, ‘Should I tell who is most wicked than he?’ They said, ‘Yes, O Messenger of Allah, please do so.’ The Messenger of Allah said, ‘Most wicked than he is one from whom no good can be expected and from whose evil people do not feel safe.’ They thought that Allah has not created anyone most wicked than he. “The Messenger of Allah then said, ‘Should I tell who is most wicked than he?’ They said, ‘Yes, O Messenger of Allah, please do so.’ The Messenger of Allah said, ‘He is a foulmouthed, profane person. When believers are mentioned before him, he abuses them and, when he is mentioned before the believers, they condemn him.’”

Le Messager d'Allah (que la prière d'Allah et Son salut soient sur lui et sa famille) a dit : "Devrais-je vous informer des pires parmi vous ?" Ils dirent : "Oui, ô Messager d'Allah." Il dit : "Celui qui refuse de subvenir aux besoins de sa famille, qui frappe son serviteur, et qui se suffit à lui-même, alors qu'ils pensent qu'Allah n'a pas créé de pire création que lui." Puis il dit : "Devrais-je vous informer de celui qui est pire que cela ?" Ils dirent : "Oui, ô Messager d'Allah." Il dit : "Celui dont le bien n'est pas espéré et dont le mal n'est pas redouté, alors qu'ils pensent qu'Allah n'a pas créé de pire création que lui." Puis il dit : "Devrais-je vous informer de celui qui est pire que cela ?" Ils dirent : "Oui, ô Messager d'Allah." Il dit : "Celui qui est impur, maudit, et lorsque les croyants sont mentionnés en sa présence, il les maudit, et lorsqu'on mentionne son nom, les gens le maudissent."

8. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from certain individuals of his people from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘There are three things that on being found in a person prove him to be a hypocrite, even though he may fast, pray and think that he is a Muslim: Violation of trust when he is thought of as trustworthy, lying in one’s words and disregard of one’s promises. Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, has said in His book, ‘. . . Allah does not love the treacherous ones’, (8:58) also in His words, ‘. . . let Allah’s condemnation be upon him if he lies’ (24:7), and in the words of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, ‘Mention in the Book (the Quran) the story of Ishmael; he was true to his promise, a Messenger and a Prophet.’” (19:54)

"Trois traits caractérisent l'hypocrite, même s'il jeûne, prie et se prétend musulman : lorsqu'il parle, il ment ; lorsqu'il fait une promesse, il la rompt. Certes, Allah, Puissant et Majestueux, a dit dans Son Livre : 'Allah n'aime pas les traîtres'. Et Il a dit : 'Que la malédiction d'Allah soit sur lui s'il est parmi les menteurs'. Et dans Sa Parole, Puissant et Majestueux : 'Et mentionne dans le Livre Ismaël, car il était fidèle à sa promesse, et il était un messager prophète'."

9. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus from certain individuals of his people from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah once asked, ‘Should I tell you who is more dissimilar to me among you?’ They said, ‘Yes, O Messenger of Allah, please do so.’ The Messenger of Allah said, ‘He is an indecent, scandalous one, foulmouthed, stingy, deceitful, hateful, envious, and hardhearted who is far from being expected to do any good, and from whom all kinds of frightening evil is expected to emerge.’”

Le Messager de Dieu (que la prière de Dieu et Son salut soient sur lui et sa famille) a averti sur les caractéristiques de ceux qui sont les plus éloignés de lui en termes de comportement et d'attitude.

10. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu’alla ibn Muhammad from Mansur ibn al-‘Abbas from Ali ibn Asbat in a marfu’ manner from Salman who has said the following: “When Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, wants to destroy a person He removes bashfulness from him. When bashfulness is removed, you will not find anything in him but deceit and causing deception. When one is deceitful and deceptive, no one trusts him and when he can no longer be trusted you will not find him anything but an intensely harsh tempered one. When one is intensely harsh tempered the harness of belief is removed from him and when the harness of belief is removed from him you will find him to be nothing else but a condemned Satan.”

Lorsqu'Allah veut la destruction d'un serviteur, Il lui enlève la pudeur. Et lorsqu'Il lui enlève la pudeur, il ne reste en lui que la traîtrise et la perfidie. Et quand il devient traître et perfide, la confiance lui est retirée. Et une fois que la confiance lui est retirée, il ne reste en lui que la grossièreté et la dureté. Et s'il devient grossier et dur, la douceur de la foi lui est retirée. Et une fois que la douceur de la foi lui est retirée, il ne reste en lui que Satan maudit.

11. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Ibrahim ibn Ziyad al-Karkhi from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Three things are condemned and condemned are those who perform them: Defecating in recreational places, blocking allocated water and blocking public roads.’”

Trois choses sont maudites: celui qui se soulage à l'ombre des routes de passage, celui qui empêche l'accès à l'eau courante, et celui qui bloque le chemin des voyageurs.

12. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Ibrahim al-Karkhi from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘There are three things whose performer is condemned: Defecating in recreational places, blocking allocated water and public roads.’”

Le Messager d'Allah (que la prière d'Allah et Ses bénédictions soient sur lui et sa famille) a dit : "Trois choses sont maudites : celui qui se soulage à l'ombre des habitations, celui qui empêche l'accès à l'eau courante, et celui qui bloque le passage sur un chemin fréquenté."

13. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad and Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father all from ibn Mahbub from ibn Ri’ab from abu Hamza from Jabir ibn ‘Abd Allah who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah (a.s.) once asked, ‘Should I tell you who is the most wicked among your men?’ They said, ‘Yes, O Messenger of Allah.’ He said, ‘Of the wicked ones among you is a man, accusing, boldly foulmouthed, eating all alone, refusing to give any gifts, beats up his slave and causes his family to seek refuge in others.’”

Puis-je vous informer des pires parmi vos hommes?" Nous avons dit: "Oui, ô Messager d'Allah." Il a dit: "Parmi les pires de vos hommes se trouvent ceux qui sont impudents, grossiers, qui mangent seuls, qui refusent de partager leur nourriture, qui frappent leurs serviteurs et qui renvoient leur famille vers d'autres."

14. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Muyassir from his father from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘I have condemned five things and so also has every prophet whose prayer would not miss acceptance: One who adds things to the book of Allah, ignores my Sunnah (traditions), rejects Allah’s measures, legalizes things that Allah has made unlawful about my descendents and the undeserved appropriator of al-Fay’ (property acquired from the enemy in battle) to himself, considering it lawful.’”

Le Messager d'Allah (que la prière d'Allah et Son salut soient sur lui et sa famille) a dit : "Il y a cinq catégories que j'ai maudites : tout transgresseur qui ajoute quelque chose dans le Livre d'Allah, tout abandonneur de ma Sunna, tout menteur sur le destin fixé par Allah, tout autorisant ce qu'Allah a interdit parmi ma descendance, tout preneur de pot-de-vin et tout receveur de pot-de-vin."
