2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Qasim from abu Hamza from abu la’ far (a.s.) who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, has said, ‘By My Majesty, Glory, Greatness, Supremacy, My Light, Highness, and Exalted position, whoever of the servants gives preference to his desires over My wish, I make his affairs disintegrate, confuse his world upon him, make his heart grow preoccupied with it (desire) and will not give him more than what I have determined for him. By my Majesty, Glory, Greatness, My Light, Highness, and Exalted position, any servant who gives preference to My wish over his own desire, I will assign My angels for his security, make the skies and earth to guarantee his sustenance and I will be behind each one of his business deals with the merchants and the world will come to him subdued and compelled.”’
Le Messager d'Allah (que la prière d'Allah et Son salut soient sur lui) a dit : "Allah, le Puissant et Majestueux, par Mon Honneur, Ma Grandeur, Mon Immensité, Ma Majesté, Ma Lumière, Mon Exaltation et Mon Élévation en degré, si un serviteur préfère ses désirs aux Miens, Je perturbe son affaire, Je lui impose les soucis de ce monde, J'occupe son cœur avec cela, et Je ne lui accorde que ce que J'ai décrété pour lui. Par Mon Honneur, Ma Grandeur, Mon Immensité, Ma Majesté, Ma Lumière, Mon Exaltation et Mon Élévation en degré, si un serviteur préfère ses désirs aux Miens, Je le confie à Mes anges, Je garantis son approvisionnement des cieux et de la terre, Je suis derrière lui dans chaque transaction commerciale, et le monde viendra à lui alors qu'il est réticent."
3. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu’alla ibn Muhammad from al- Washsha’ from ‘Asim ibn Humayd from abu Hamza from Yahya ibn ‘Aqil who has said the following: “Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali ibn abu Talib (a.s.) has said, ‘I am afraid for you from two things: following your desires and your never ending hopes of worldly matters; following of desires obstructs one from the truth and never ending hope in worldly matters makes one forget the hereafter.’”

Le Commandeur des Croyants (que la paix soit sur lui) a dit : "Je crains pour vous deux choses : suivre les passions et nourrir de grands espoirs. Quant au suivi des passions, il détourne de la vérité, et quant au fait de nourrir de grands espoirs, il fait oublier l'Au-delà."
4. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Shammun from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Asamm from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajjaj who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan (a.s.) once said to me, ‘Beware of an easy climb up that has a very deep and steep climb down.’ “The narrator has said that Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) would say, ‘Do not leave the soul with its desires unguarded; its desires are to destroy it. Leaving the soul with its desires unguarded is hurting the soul, however, guarding the soul against its desires is medicine for its illness.’”

Il a dit: Et Abu Abdullah (que la paix soit sur lui) disait: "Ne laisse pas l'âme suivre ses passions, car ses passions la mèneront à sa perte. Contenir l'âme dans ce qu'elle désire est son remède."
