The Statements that Graves Make Every Day

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from ‘Abd al- Rahman ibn abu Hashim from Salim who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said that every gravesite speaks three times every day, ‘I am the house of soil, I am the house of misfortune and I am the house of worms.’ The Imam then said, ‘When a believing person enters the grave it says, “You are most welcome. By Allah I loved you when you walked on me. Why then should I not love you when you are inside of me? You will see what I can do for you.” His grave opens for him as far as he can see and a door for him opens to paradise where he can see his seat. There-from a man comes out, the like of whom in beauty he had never seen before, and he asks, “Who are you, O servant of Allah? I have never seen before anyone more beautiful than you.” He will reply, “I am your good opinion that you possessed and your good deeds that you performed.”’ The Imam then said, ‘Then his spirit or soul is taken to be placed in paradise where he had seen his dwelling and it is said to him, “Rest here to the delight of your eyes.” Then he continues feeling the joy and fragrance of the breeze from paradise with his body until he is resurrected.’ The Imam then said, ‘When an unbeliever enters the grave, it says, “You are not welcome at all. By Allah, I hated you when you walked on me and it is more so now that you are inside of me, and you will see how much I hate you.’” The Imam then said, ‘The grave then applies a huge pressure upon him and turns him into ashes. Then he turns back into his form as before. Then it opens a door for him to the fire where he observes his seat therein.’ The Imam then said, ‘Thereafter a man comes out to him, the like of whom in ugliness he had never seen before.’ The Imam also said that he then asks, ‘Who are you, O servant of Allah? I have never seen anyone uglier than you.’ He replies, ‘I am your evil deeds that you performed and your filthy opinion.’ The Imam then said, ‘His soul is then taken to be placed where he had observed his seat in the fire. Thereafter blows of fire continue striking his body that feels the pain and heat thereof until the Day of Resurrection. Allah will allow ninety-nine very poisonous serpents to bite him. If any of them may blow to the earth, nothing can grow therein.’”

Il n'y a pas un endroit de tombeau qui ne parle trois fois chaque jour, disant : "Je suis la maison de la terre, je suis la maison des épreuves, je suis la maison des vers." Quand un croyant y entre, il dit : "Bienvenue et salutations ! Par Allah, je t'aimais alors que tu marchais sur mon dos, comment sera-ce quand tu seras dans mon ventre et que tu verras cela ?" Alors un espace lui est ouvert aussi loin que la vue peut porter, et une porte s'ouvre pour lui où il voit son lieu du Paradis. Puis un homme sort de là, dont les yeux n'ont jamais vu quelque chose de plus beau que lui, et il dit : "Ô Abdallah, je n'ai jamais vu quelque chose de plus beau que toi." Et il répond : "Ta vision est celle de la beauté sur laquelle tu étais, et tes bonnes actions que tu accomplissais." Ensuite, son âme est prise et placée au Paradis où il a vu sa demeure, et il lui est dit : "Dors paisiblement jusqu'à ce qu'une brise du Paradis touche ton corps, tu sentiras sa douceur et son parfum jusqu'à la Résurrection." Il a dit : "Et quand le mécréant entre, il dit : "Pas de bienvenue ni de salutations pour toi ! Par Allah, je te détestais alors que tu marchais sur mon dos, comment sera-ce quand tu seras dans mon ventre et que tu verras cela ?" Puis il est enveloppé et rendu vil, et il est traité comme il était, et une porte vers le Feu lui est ouverte où il voit sa place en Enfer. Ensuite, un homme sort de là, plus laid que tout ce qu'il a jamais vu, et il dit : "Ô Abdallah, qui es-tu ? Je n'ai jamais vu quelque chose de plus laid que toi." Et il répond : "Tes actions mauvaises que tu faisais, et ta vision repoussante." Ensuite, son âme est prise et placée là où il a vu sa place en Enfer, et il ne cessera pas de ressentir la brûlure de l'Enfer dans son corps jusqu'au Jour de la Résurrection, et Allah enverra sur son âme 99 serpents qui le mordront, sans qu'il y ait un seul serpent qui ne souffle sur la surface de la terre sans qu'il fasse pousser quelque chose.
2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from al-Hassan ibn Ali from Ghalib ibn ‘Uthman from Bashir al-Dahhan who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said that the grave has a statement every day. It says, ‘I am the house of loneliness. I am the terrifying house and I am the house of worms. I am the grave. I can be a garden of the gardens of paradise or a pit of the pits of hell.’”

Le Prophète (que la paix soit sur lui) a dit : "La tombe parle chaque jour, disant : Je suis la demeure de l'étrangeté, je suis la demeure de la solitude, je suis la demeure des vers, je suis la tombe, je suis un jardin parmi les jardins du Paradis ou une fosse parmi les fosses de l'Enfer."
3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Hammad from ‘Amr ibn Yazid who has said the following: “I said to abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, ‘I have heard you say, “All of our Shi‘ah will be in paradise just as they are.’” He said, ‘I have told you the truth. All of them, by Allah, will be in paradise.’ The narrator has said that I then said, ‘May Allah keep my soul in your service, the sins are many and the major ones.’ He said, ‘On the Day of Judgment, all of you will be in paradise through the intercession of the Holy Prophet, which is obeyed or through the intercession of an executor of the will of the Holy Prophet. However I am afraid for you in Barzakh.’ I then asked, ‘What is Barzakh?’ He replied, ‘It is the grave from his death to the Day of Judgment.’”
IsnādMuhammad ibn Yahya a rapporté d'Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, d'Ahmad ibn Muhammad, d'Abderrahman ibn Hammad, d'Amr ibn Yazid, qui a dit : J'ai dit à Abu Abdullah (sur lui la paix) : "J'ai entendu dire que tu affirmes que tous nos partisans seront au Paradis selon ce qu'ils ont accompli." Il a répondu : "Tu dis vrai, tous seront au Paradis par Allah." J'ai dit : "Je te sacrifie, les péchés sont nombreux et graves." Il a dit : "Quant au Jour du Jugement, vous serez tous au Paradis par l'intercession du Prophète obéi ou par le testament du Prophète, mais je crains pour vous dans la période intermédiaire." J'ai demandé : "Qu'est-ce que la période intermédiaire ?" Il a répondu : "La tombe, depuis le moment de la mort jusqu'au Jour du Jugement."
