1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu ‘Umayr from Jamil ibn Darraj from ’Isma‘il al- Ash’ariy from al-Hakam ibn ‘Utaybah who has said the following: “I once asked abu ’Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about a man who gives Zakat to a man to perform Hajj. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is Zakat money and he performs Hajj!’ I then said, ‘It is a Muslim man who gives Zakat to a Muslim man.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘If he is needy, Zakat must be given to him for his needs and poverty, and one must not say to him to perform Hajj. It is up to him to use as he likes.’”

Un groupe de nos compagnons a rapporté de Ahmad ibn Muhammad, de Ibn Abi Umair, de Jameel ibn Darrāj, d'Ismaïl Ash-Sha'iri, de Al-Hakam ibn Utaybah, qui a dit : J'ai demandé à Abu Abdullah (sur lui la paix) : "Un homme donne à un autre de sa zakat pour qu'il fasse le pèlerinage avec, que doit-il en faire ?" Il a répondu : "L'argent de la zakat doit être utilisé pour le pèlerinage. Je lui ai dit : "C'est un homme musulman qui a donné à un autre musulman." Il a dit : "S'il est dans le besoin, qu'il lui donne pour ses besoins et sa pauvreté, et qu'il ne lui dise pas de faire le pèlerinage avec, il en fera ce qu'il veut après."
