1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Safwan ibn Yahya from Mansur ibn Hazim who has said the following: “Abu ’Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘The recitation is not definite texts except on Friday in which there is Surah (chapter) al-Jumu‘ah and al-Munafiqun.’”

3. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Amir from Ali ibn Mahziyar from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from al-Husayn ibn abu Hamzah who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, ‘What can I recite for the morning Salah (prayer) on Friday?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘In the first Rak‘at recite Surah (chapter) al-Jumu‘ah and in the second Rak‘at recite Chapter 112 then read Qunut (supplication after recitation in second Rak‘at) so both become equal.’”

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from Jamil from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘Allah has granted honor to the believers by means of sending (Surah (chapter) of al-Jumu‘ah). The Messenger of Allah established it a Sunnah (noble tradition) and good news for them. He sent al-Munafiqun to reprimand the hypocrites. It is not proper to omit it. Salah (prayer) of one who willfully omits it is not valid.’”

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about recitation on Friday when I perform Salah (prayer) alone of four Rak‘at. Can I recite aloud? He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, you can recite aloud.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Recite Surah (chapter) al-Jumu‘ah and al-Munafiqun on Friday.’”

6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from fro al-‘Ala’ from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “I once asked one of the two Imam, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, about a man who intends to recite Surah (chapter) al-Jumu‘ah on Friday but he recites Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad (Chapter 112). He (the Imam) said, ‘He can go back to Surah (chapter) al-Jumu‘ah.’ It is also narrated that one completes it in two Rak‘at, then performs it again.”

7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayr from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar from ‘Umar ibn Yazid who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘If one performs Friday Salah (prayer) without reciting Surah (chapter) al-Jumu‘ah and al-Munafiqun, he is required to perform his Salah (prayer) again, on a journey or at home.’ It is narrated that it is not an offense to recite Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad, Chapter 112 on a journey.”

Isnādعَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ

قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) مَنْ صَلَّى الْجُمُعَةَ بِغَيْرِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْمُنَافِقِينَ أَعَادَ الصَّلاَةَ فِي سَفَرٍ أَوْ حَضَرٍ. وَرُوِيَ لاَ بَأْسَ فِي السَّفَرِ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ بِقُلْ هُوَ الله أَحَدٌ.
