1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn ‘Isma’il from Mansur ibn Yunus from ‘Abd al-Hamid ibn ‘Awwad who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about forming marriage terms with a woman; if I can go to bed with her without paying her anything in cash of her mahr (dower). He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, you can do so, it is only a debt on you.’”

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayr from certain persons of his people from ‘Abd al-Hamid al-Ta’iy who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, if I can marry and go to bed with her without paying anything. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, you can do so and it is a debt on you.’”
