1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Shammun from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Asamm from Misma’ ibn ‘Abd al-Malik who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘In the following eight cases marriage is not permissible: Your slave-girl whose mother is your slave-girl, or her sister is your slave-girl, your slave-girl who is your paternal aunt of breastfeeding, your slave-girl who is your maternal aunt of breastfeeding, your slave-girl who has breastfed you, your slave-girl who has gone to bed with someone until passing of one menses cycle, your slave-girl who is pregnant from another man, your slave-girl whose value is being assessed and is not yet purchased and your slave-girl who has a husband.’”
