La Grenade

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from Fadalah ibn from ‘Umar ibn Aban al- Kalbiy who has said the following: “I once heard abu Ja‘far, and abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, saying, ‘No other fruit on earth was as much desirable to the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, as pomegranate. He (the Messenger of Allah) liked not to share it with anyone.’”

Il n'y avait pas de fruit plus aimé par le Messager de Dieu que la grenade. Et certes, quand il en mangeait, il préférait que personne d'autre ne partage avec lui.

4. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Dihqan from Durust from Ibrahim ibn ‘Abd al-Hamid who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘Of the matters that Adam said in his will to Hibbatu Allah was his saying, ‘You must eat pomegranate; if you eat it when you are hungry, it is sufficient; and if you eat when satisfied it is pleasant to you.’”

Parmi ce dont Adam (que la paix soit sur lui) a recommandé, c'est le don d'Allah, qu'il lui a dit : "Je te recommande les grenades, car si tu les manges en étant affamé, tu seras rassasié, et si tu les manges en étant rassasié, tu seras satisfait."

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayr from Hammad ibn ‘Uthaman who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘Sharing of other things is not more hateful to me than sharing one pomegranate. In every pomegranate there is one grain from paradise, thus when an unbeliever eats it, Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, sends an angel to remove it thereof.’”

"Il n'y a rien que je déteste partager plus que les grenades. Chaque grenade contient une graine du Paradis. Lorsqu'un mécréant la mange, Allah envoie un ange pour la lui retirer."

6. Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar, from Muhammad ibn Salim, from Ahmad ibn al-Nadr from Mufaddal who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, state this Hadith. ‘I like to share with someone every food that I eat,’ or that he (the Imam) said, ‘A human being shares with me except pomegranate. In every pomegranate there is a grain from paradise.’”

Je ne mange aucun aliment sans désirer y associer quelqu'un, sauf les grenades, car il n'y a pas de grenade sans qu'elle ne contienne une graine du Paradis.

7. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin when eating pomegranate would spread a handkerchief. He was asked about it and he replied, ‘There is a grain from paradise in it.’ It was said that Jews, Christians and others eat it. He (the Imam) said, ‘When that happens Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, sends an angel to remove it thereof so he will not eat it.’”

Il y a en elles des graines du Paradis. Si c'est le cas, Allah, Le Puissant et Majestueux, envoie un ange pour les arracher de lui afin qu'il ne les mange pas.

8. Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan ibn Yahya from Mansur ibn Hazim who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘If one eats a grain of pomegranate it makes the Satan of temptation sick for forty days.’”

a dit : "Celui qui mange une graine de grenade tombe malade du whispering (waswasa) de Satan pendant quarante jours."

9. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan all from Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il ibn Bazi‘ from Salih ibn ‘Uqbah from Yazid ibn ‘Abd al-Malik al-Nawfaliy who has said the following: “I once visited abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, and there was a pomegranate in his hand. He (the Imam) said, ‘O Mu‘attib give him a pomegranate; sharing of no other thing is more hateful to me than sharing a pomegranate.’ He (the Imam) then applied cupping and I also applied cupping. He (the Imam) then asked for another pomegranate. He (the Imam) then said, ‘O Yazid, if any believing person eats a pomegranate completely, Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, dispels Satan from the brightness of his heart for forty days. If one eats two pieces completely Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, dispels Satan from the bright part of his heart for one hundred days. If one eats three pomegranates completely, Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, removes Satan from the brightness of his heart for one year. One from the brightness of whose heart Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, removes Satan, he does not commit sins and one who does not commit sins enters paradise.”’*

Et celui qui en mange deux, Allah, exalté soit-Il, éloignera le diable de l'éclairage de son cœur pendant cent jours. Et celui qui en mange trois jusqu'à en avoir fini, Allah, exalté soit-Il, éloignera le diable de l'éclairage de son cœur pendant une année. Et celui dont Allah éloigne le diable de l'éclairage de son cœur pendant une année ne commettra pas de péché. Et celui qui ne commet pas de péché entrera au Paradis."

10. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, saying, ‘You must eat sweet pomegranate. Every grain that reaches the stomach of a believing person; it abolishes the illnesses and extinguishes the temptation of Satan thereof.’”

"Je vous recommande la grenade sucrée, donc mangez-la, car il n'y a pas une graine qui tombe dans l'estomac d'un croyant sans qu'elle n'élimine une maladie et n'éloigne Satan du whispering."

11. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn Salim who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, saying, ‘If one eats a pomegranate before breakfast his heart remains bright for forty days.’”

J'ai entendu dire qu'il a dit : "Celui qui mange une grenade à jeun, son cœur sera illuminé pendant quarante jours."

12. Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Bandar has narrated from his father from Muhammad ibn Ali al-Hamadaniy from Sa‘id al-Raqqam from Salih ibn ‘Uqbah who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, saying, ‘Eat pomegranate with its flesh; it tans (cleans) the stomach and increases the brain’s ability.’”

Mangez des grenades avec leur huile, car elle purifie l'estomac et augmente l'intelligence.

13. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja‘far ibn Muhammad al-Ash‘ariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘Eat sour-sweet pomegranate with its flesh; it tans (cleanses) the stomach.’”

"Mangez des grenades bien mûres avec leur graisse, car elles sont un adoucissant pour l'estomac."

14. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayr from Ibrahim ibn ‘Abd al-Hamid from al-Walid ibn Sabih who has said the following: “Once sweet pomegranate was mentioned and abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, said, ‘Sour-sweet pomegranate is more suitable for the stomach.’” Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from ibn abu ‘Umayr from Ibrahim ibn ‘ Abd al-Hamid from al-Walid ibn Sabih from abu ‘ Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has narrated from a similar Hadith.”

Il a été mentionné les grenades sucrées, et al-Muz affirma : "Elles sont les meilleures pour l'estomac."

15. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from ibn Baqqah from Salih ibn ‘Uqbah al-Khayyat or al-Qammat from Yazid ibn ‘Abd al-Malik who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, saying, ‘If one eats pomegranate his heart becomes bright and whosoever’s heart Allah brightens Satan is kept away from him.’ I then asked, ‘What kind of pomegranate is this? I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause? He (the Imam) said, ‘It is the one from Sur (name of a place near Baghdad), this one?”

Un certain nombre de nos compagnons, d'Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid, d'Ibn Baqqaq, de Salih ibn 'Uqbah al-Khayyat ou al-Qammaat, de Yazid ibn 'Abd al-Malik, ont dit: J'ai entendu Abu 'Abdullah (sur lui la paix) dire: "Celui qui mange une grenade, son cœur s'illumine, et celui qu'Allah illumine son cœur, le diable s'éloigne de lui." 16. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from al-Nuhaykiy from ‘Ubayd Allah ibn Ahmad from Ziyad ibn Marwan al- Qandiy who has said the following: “I once heard abu al-Hassan, al-Awwal, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, saying, ‘If one eats pomegranate on Friday before breakfast his heart becomes bright for forty mornings. If one eats two pomegranates, it then is eighty days, if one eats three pomegranates, it then is three hundred and twenty days and temptation of Satan is kept away from him. One from whom temptation of Satan is kept away he does not disobey Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, and one who does not disobey Allah is admitted in paradise?”

Celui qui mange une grenade le jour du vendredi à jeun, son cœur sera illuminé pendant quarante matins. S'il en mange deux, cela durera quatre-vingts jours. S'il en mange trois, cela durera cent vingt jours, et il sera préservé des insinuations de Satan. Celui qui est préservé des insinuations de Satan n'obéit pas à Allah, le Tout-Puissant. Et celui qui n'obéit pas à Allah, Allah le fera entrer au Paradis.

17. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from ‘Amr ibn Ibrahim from al-Khurasaniy who has said the following: “He (the Imam), ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘Eating sweet pomegranate increases one’s seed and forms the child well?”

"Manger des grenades sucrées augmente la virilité de l'homme et améliore la qualité de sa descendance."

18. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ibrahim ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman from Ziyad who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘Smoke from the tree of pomegranate dispels vermin?”

a rapporté que l'odeur du jujubier éloigne les démons.
