3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayr from Mehran ibn Muhammad from a man from Sa‘d al-‘Iskaf who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘If one drinks intoxicating liquor his Salat (prayer) is not accepted for forty days. If he returns to drink again Allah will make him drink from Tinah of Khabal, which he (the Imam) said, is a liquid that comes out of the vagina of fornicators.’”

Il a dit : "Celui qui boit de l'alcool, sa prière ne sera pas acceptée de lui pendant quarante jours, et s'il récidive, Allah lui fera boire de l'eau provenant des parties intimes des fornicateurs."

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayr from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajj aj who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘If one drinks wine his Salat (prayer) is not accepted for forty days.’”

5. Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan from al-‘Ala’ from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “One of the two Imam, (abu Ja‘far or abu ‘Abd Allah), ‘Alayhim al-Salam, has said, ‘If one drinks one sip of wine his Salat (prayer) is not accepted forty days.’”

6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Sayf ibn ‘Amirah from Muhammad ibn Marwan from al-Fudayl ibn Yasar who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘In the month of Ramadan at the time of iftar (at sunset) Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, every night frees people from the fire except those who break their fast with intoxicating liquor. If a person drinks intoxicating liquor none of his Salat (prayer) is counted for forty days and if he dies in those forty days he has died like as an ignorant (pagan) person.’”

Certes, Allah, Puissant et Majestueux, a des affranchis à chaque nuit du mois de Ramadan, qu'Il affranchit du Feu, sauf celui qui rompt son jeûne en état d'ivresse. Celui qui boit de l'alcool pendant le jeûne, sa prière ne lui sera pas acceptée pendant quarante jours, et s'il meurt en cet état, il meurt comme meurt un ignorant de la période préislamique.

7. Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il from ibn Muskan from abu Basir who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘When my father was about to pass away he said to me, ‘My son, our intercession will not apply to those who take their Salat (prayer) lightly and the addicts of these drinks will not be able to come to us at the pond. I then asked, ‘What are these drinks, O father?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is all intoxicating liquor.’”

Quand mon père (que la paix soit sur lui) était sur le point de mourir, il me dit : "Ô mon fils, celui qui néglige la prière ne bénéficiera pas de notre intercession, et celui qui se livre à l'excès dans la consommation de boissons enivrantes ne sera pas autorisé à boire de notre bassin." Je demandai : "Ô mon père, quelles boissons enivrantes ?" Il répondit : "Toute boisson enivrante."

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Khalid from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah ibn Mehran who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘If one [of you] drinks intoxicating liquor his Salat (prayer) is not accepted for forty days.’”

"Celui d'entre vous qui boit du vin, sa prière ne sera pas acceptée de lui pendant quarante nuits."

9. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn al-Mukhtar from ‘Amr ibn Shamir who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, saying, ‘If one drinks one sip of wine Allah will not accept his Salat (prayer) for seven (days) and if one becomes drunk his Salat (prayer) is not accepted for forty days.’”

Celui qui boit une gorgée de vin, Allah n'acceptera pas sa prière pendant sept jours, et celui qui s'enivre, sa prière ne sera pas acceptée pendant quarante matins.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from n Khalid from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah ibn Mehran from abu Basir who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘If one drinks wine till he becomes drunk Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, will not accept his Salat (prayer) for forty days.”’

Celui qui boit du vin jusqu'à l'ivresse, Allah n'acceptera pas sa prière pendant quarante matins.

11. Ali has narrated from his father from al-Nadr ibn Suwayd from Hisham ibn Salim from Sulayman ibn Khalid who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘If one drinks one sip of wine his Salat (prayer) is not accepted for forty days.’”

12. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ibn abu Nasr from al-Husayn ibn Khalid who has said the following: “I once said to abu al-Hassan, Alayhi al-Salam, ‘It is narrated to us from the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, that he has said, “If one drinks wine his Salat (prayer) is not counted for forty days.’” He (the Imam) said, ‘They have spoken the truth.’ I then asked, ‘How is it that his Salat (prayer) is not counted for forty days: no less and no more?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, determined the creation of human beings so it becomes nutfah (seed, sperm) in forty days, then it changes and becomes a clot of blood in forty days, then it changes and becomes a lump of flesh (embryo) in forty days. If he drinks wine it remains in his bone joints for forty days proportionate to the changes in his creation.’ He (the narrator) has said that he (the Imam) then said, ‘In the same away all of his other food and drinks remain in his bone joints for forty days.’”

Ainsi, lorsque quelqu'un boit du vin, il reste dans son estomac pendant quarante jours, selon la durée de sa transformation." Puis il a dit: "Et de même pour toute sa nourriture et sa boisson, elle reste dans son estomac pendant quarante jours."

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus from Hammad from abu af-Jarud who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘ Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, saying, ‘My father narrated to me from his father, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘A wine addict is like an idol worshipper.’ I (the narrator) then asked, ‘What is a ‘Mudmin’?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘He is one who drinks whenever he finds.’”

J'ai entendu Abu 'Abdullah (sur lui la paix) dire: Mon père m'a informé de son père (sur lui la paix) que le Messager d'Allah (que la paix et les bénédictions d'Allah soient sur lui et sa famille) a dit: "Celui qui boit du vin est comme un adorateur d'idole." J'ai demandé: "Qui est le buveur?" Il a dit: "Celui qui, lorsqu'il le trouve, le boit."

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Ibn abu Ya’fur ibn abu Ya’fur-Hamid from Sayf ibn ‘Amirah from Mansur ibn Hazim who has said that narrated to me abu Basir from ibn abu Ya’fur who have said the following: “We once heard abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, saying, ‘A wine addict is not one who drinks every day, he however, is one who settles his soul upon drinking it whenever he finds it.’”

Celui qui n'est pas un buveur habituel de vin, mais qui se persuade que s'il en trouve, il en boira.

3. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Mansur ibn al-‘Abbas from Ali ibn Yaqtin from Hashim ibn Khalid from Nu’aym al-Basriy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘A wine addict is one who drinks whenever he finds.’”
