1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from Sa‘d ibn Sa‘d al-Ash‘ariy who has said the following: “I once asked al-Rida’, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about the case of a man who loves certain ones of his children more than others and gives preference to certain ones among them over the others. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, abu ‘ Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, gave a present to Muhammad; so also did abu al- Hassan, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, by gifting something to Ahmad and I went to collect them for him because he was a child.’ I then said, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, can one love his daughters more than his sons?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Sons and daughters are the same in this matter, in fact, it depends up on how they are in the sight of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious.”’
IsnādMuhammad ibn Yahya a rapporté d'Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid, de Sa'd ibn Sa'd al-Ash'ari, qui a dit : J'ai demandé à Aba al-Hasan ar-Rida (que la paix soit sur lui) au sujet d'un homme qui préfère certains de ses enfants à d'autres et qui favorise certains de ses enfants par rapport à d'autres. Il a répondu : Oui, Aba Abdillah (que la paix soit sur lui) a fait cela avec Muhammad, et Abul-Hasan (que la paix soit sur lui) a fait cela avec Ahmad. J'ai donc pris cela et je l'ai apporté jusqu'à ce que je le lui rapporte. Alors j'ai dit : Que ta vie soit sacrifiée pour moi, est-ce que l'homme peut préférer ses filles à ses fils ? Il a répondu : Les filles et les fils sont égaux à cet égard, c'est seulement selon ce qu'Allah le Très Haut leur accorde.
