229. Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Muhammad Bin Yahya, from his brother Al-A’la, from Ismail Bin Al-Hassan Al-Mutabbab who said: I said to Abu Abdullah (asws), ‘I am a man from the Arabs and I have medicine for vision, and my medicine is the Arabic medicine, and I do not take gifts for it’. He (asws) said: ‘There is no problem’. I said, ‘I let the wound bleed and burn it by the fire’. He (asws) said: ‘There is no problem’. I said, ‘And my prescription are these toxins ‘Al-Asmahiqoun’ and ‘Al-Ghariqoun’’. He (asws) said: ‘There is no problem’. I said, ‘Sometimes the patient dies.' He (asws) said: ‘Even if he dies’. I said, ‘My prescription to him (the patient) is ‘Al-Nabeedh’ (Intoxicating drink)’. He (asws) said: ‘There is no healing in the Prohibited (things).' Once, Rasool Allah (saww) had complained, so Ayesha said to him (saww), ‘You (saww) have pleurisy’. So he (saww) said: ‘I (saww) am more honourable to Allah (azwj) Mighty and Majestic that He (azwj) would involve me (saww) with the pleurisy’. So he ordered patience.
