482. Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Is’haq Bin Ammar who said: ‘I asked Abu Abdullah (asws) about the Statement of Allah (azwj) Blessed and High: “[2:89] and before that they used to pray for victory against those who disbelieve, but when there came to them (Prophet) that which they did not recognize, they disbelieved in him”. He (asws) said: ‘A people who were in between (the era of) Muhammad (saww) and Isa (as), and they would inform the idol worshippers about the promised Prophet (saww), and they were saying, ‘When the Prophet (saww) comes out, he (saww) would break your idols, and will do this with you, and that with you’. However, when the Rasool Allah (saww) came out, they denied him (saww)’.
IsnādAli ibn Ibrahim a rapporté de son père, de Safwan ibn Yahya, d'Ishaq ibn Ammar, qui a dit : J'ai demandé à Abu Abdullah (que la paix soit sur lui) au sujet de la parole d'Allah, exalté soit-Il, "Et ils consultaient les mécréants, mais quand vint à eux ce qu'ils reconnaissaient, ils renièrent." Il a dit : Il y avait un groupe entre Muhammad et Issa (que la paix soit sur eux), qui menaçaient les adorateurs d'idoles en disant : "Un Prophète sortira et brisera vos idoles et vous fera du mal." Quand le Messager d'Allah (que la paix soit sur lui et sa famille) est apparu, ils ont renié.
