567. Aban, from Abdullah Bin Ata’I, who has said the following: Abu Ja’far (asws) has said: ‘Jibraeel (as) came to the Rasool Allah (saww) with the Buraaq (ride) which was smaller than a mule, and larger than the donkey. It had two vibrating ears, and its eyes were in its hooves, and its steps were as far as its eyes could extend to. And if it ascends a mountain, its forelegs become shorter and its hind legs extend. So if it descends, its forelegs extend and its hind legs shorten. Its mane hung to the right of it, and it had two wings behind it.

Gabriel est venu au Messager d'Allah (que la prière d'Allah et Son salut soient sur lui et sa famille) avec al-Buraq, plus petit qu'un mulet et plus grand qu'un âne, ses oreilles étaient dressées, ses yeux étaient dans ses joues, et ses pas atteignaient le regard. Lorsqu'il atteignit une montagne, ses mains se raccourcirent et ses jambes s'allongèrent, et lorsqu'il descendit, ses mains s'allongèrent et ses jambes se raccourcirent. Il avait une crinière sur le côté droit.
