568. Ali Bin Ibrahim, from Salih ibn al-Sindi, from Ja’far Bin Basheer from Fadh bin al-Mukhtar, who has narrated the following: ‘I said to Abu Abdullah (a.s), ‘How do you read “[9:118] And to the three who were left behind”. He said; ‘Had they been left behind (Khulifu), they would be in a state of obedience. But, they opposed (Khaalafu) – Usman and his two companions (Abu Bakr and Umar). But, by Allah (azwj), they did not hear the sound of hooves, or the rumble of the pebbles except that they said, ‘They are coming for us!’ Allah (azwj) Made fear to overcome them until the morning’.
IsnādAli ibn Ibrahim a rapporté de Salih ibn As-Sindi, de Ja'far ibn Bashir, de Fayd ibn Al-Mukhtar, qui a dit: Abu 'Abdillah (que la paix soit sur lui) a dit:
Comment interprétez-vous le verset "et sur les trois qui ont été laissés en arrière"? S'ils avaient été laissés en arrière, ils auraient été dans un état d'obéissance. Mais ils ont désobéi à 'Uthman et à ses compagnons. Par Allah, ils n'entendaient pas le bruit d'un sabot ou le cliquetis d'une pierre sans dire: "Nous avons été attaqués". Alors Allah a fait régner la peur sur eux jusqu'au matin.
