Sajdah (prostrations of Abu ‘Abd Allah AS

399. From him, from Hisham Bin Saalim, from Abdul Hameed, Bin Abu Al-A’la who said: I came up to the Sacred Masjid, so I saw a slave of Abu Abdullah (asws). So I went to him to ask him about Abu Abdullah (asws) and I saw that Abu Abdullah (asws) was in prostration. So I waited for him (asws) for a long time as his (asws) prostration was prolonged. So I stood up and Prayed some cycles of Salat and finished, and he (asws) was still in prostration. So I asked the slave, ‘From when has he (asws) been in prostration?’ He said, ‘From before I came in’. So when he (asws) overheard our conversation, he (asws) raised his (asws) head, then said: ‘Abu Muhammad, come closer to me (asws)’. So I approached and greeted him (asws). He (asws) heard voiced behind him (asws) so he (asws) said; ‘What are these raised voices?’ I said, ‘Those are a group of Murjiites, and the Qadiriyya, and the Mu’tazila’. He (asws) said: ‘The people want me (asws), so come with me (asws)’. I stood up and went with him (asws). When they saw him (asws) they stood up for him (asws), so he (asws) said: ‘Restrain yourselves from me (asws) and do not hurt me (asws) and expose me (asws) to the authorities, for I (asws) am not a Mufti (Issuer of Fatawa for you all’. Then he (asws) took me by the hand and left them and went away. So when we came out form the Masjid, he (asws) said to me: ‘O Abu Muhammad! Even if Iblees (la) has prostrated to Allah (azwj) Mighty and Majestic after the disobedience and the arrogance for the entire life of the world that would not benefit him (la) and Allah (azwj) will not Accept it, as he (la) did not prostrate to Adam (as) as Allah (azwj) had Commanded him (la) to prostrate to him (as), and similar to that is this community, disobedient and mischievous after its Prophet (saww) and after they having abandoned the Imam (asws) whom he (saww) had Established among them for (their benefit). So Allah (azwj) will never Accept their deeds, and will never Raise their good deeds until they come to Allah (azwj) from where He (azwj) had Commanded them, and befriend the Imam (asws) whose Wilayah they had been Commanded (to submit), and enter through the Door which Allah (azwj) and His (azwj) Messenger (saww) had Opened for them. O Abu Muhammad! Surely Allah (azwj) has Necessitated upon the community of Muhammad (saww) five Obligations – the Salat, and the Zakat, and the Fasts, and the Pilgrimage, and our (asws) Wilayah. And He (azwj) Exempted them from four Obligations but did not Exempt anyone from the Muslims in leaving our (asws) Wilayah. No, by Allah (azwj), there is no Exemption in this’.
IsnādDe lui, de Hicham ibn Salim, d'Abd al-Hamid ibn Abi al-Ala, qui a dit : Je suis entré dans la Mosquée sacrée et j'ai vu un esclave d'Abu Abdallah (sur lui la paix). Je me suis approché de lui pour lui demander au sujet d'Abu Abdallah (sur lui la paix). Quand je suis arrivé auprès d'Abu Abdallah (sur lui la paix), je l'ai trouvé prosterné. J'ai attendu longtemps qu'il termine sa prosternation sur moi, puis je me suis levé et j'ai prié des unités de prière, puis je suis parti alors qu'il était toujours en prosternation. J'ai demandé à son serviteur quand il s'était prosterné, il a dit : Avant que tu n'arrives. Quand il a entendu ma voix, il a relevé la tête et a dit : Abu Muhammad, approche-toi de moi. Je me suis approché de lui et je lui ai salué. Il a entendu une voix derrière lui et a dit : Quels sont ces sons élevés ? J'ai dit : Ce sont des gens parmi les Mourtajia, les Qadariya et les Mu'tazila. Il a dit : Ces gens veulent que je me lève avec eux. Lève-toi avec nous. Je me suis levé avec lui. Quand ils l'ont vu, ils se sont dirigés vers lui, il leur a dit : Retirez-vous de moi et ne me faites pas de mal, et ne me présentez pas au sultan, car je ne suis pas accessible pour vous. Puis il a pris ma main, les a laissés et est parti. Quand il est sorti de la Mosquée, il m'a dit : Ô Abu Muhammad, par Allah, si Iblis avait prosterné à Allah après la désobéissance et l'orgueil, l'âge du monde ne lui aurait pas été bénéfique, et Allah n'aurait pas accepté son rappel tant qu'il n'aurait pas prosterné devant Adam comme Allah lui a ordonné de le faire. Ainsi en est-il de cette communauté désobéissante, tentée après son Prophète (que la paix soit sur lui et sa famille), et après avoir abandonné l'Imam qu'a établi leur Prophète (que la paix soit sur lui et sa famille) pour eux. Allah le Très-Haut n'acceptera pas leurs actions et Il ne leur élèvera pas une bonne action tant qu'ils n'approcheront pas Allah comme Il leur a ordonné, et qu'ils ne suivront pas l'Imam auquel ils ont été commandés de prêter allégeance, et qu'ils n'entreront pas par la porte qu'Allah le Très-Haut et Son Messager leur ont ouverte. Ô Abu Muhammad, Allah a imposé à la communauté de Muhammad (que la paix soit sur lui et sa famille) cinq obligations : la prière, l'aumône légale, le jeûne, le pèlerinage et notre wilaya. Il leur a permis des choses parmi les quatre obligations, mais Il n'a permis à aucun musulman d'abandonner notre wilaya. Par Allah, il n'y a pas de permission en cela.
