7-43 Hamzih ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Alavi - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashim quoted his father, on the authority of Abdullah ibn al-Muqayrih, on the authority of Al-Sakoony, on the authority of Ja’far ibn Muhammad as-Sadiq (MGB), on the authority of his father (MGB), on the authority of his forefathers (MGB), on the authority of Ali (MGB), “Seven persons should not recite the Quran: one who is bowing down; one who is prostrating; one who is in the toilet; one who is in the bath; one who is in a state of major ritual impurity; a woman who is in childbed; and a menstruating woman.”The author of this book - may God be pleased with him - said, “This indicates that this is detested, not that it is absolutely forbidden. As you know it is absolutely forbidden for one who is in a state of major ritual impurity and a woman who is menstruating to recite the Quran. There are four Quranic Chapters which require prostration as follows: Luqman; Ha-mim; An-Najm; and Iqra. It has also been narrated that one can recite the Quran in the bath if his recitation is not meant to be a form of singing and his private parts should also be covered. One should not recite the Quran while bowing down or prostrating since they are meant for glorifications, except for praying for a need in which it is allowed. One should not recite the Quran in the toilet. A woman who is in childbed is like one who is menstruating.”
IsnādHamzah ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Alawi nous a informés, qu'Allah soit satisfait de lui, a dit: Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashim m'a informé, de son père, d'Abdullah ibn al-Mughirah, d'As-Sakuni, de Ja'far ibn Muhammad, de son père, de ses ancêtres, d'Ali, que la paix soit sur eux, a dit:
"Il y a sept personnes qui ne devraient pas réciter le Coran: celui qui est en position de ruku' (inclinaison) et de sujud (prosternation), celui qui est dans les toilettes, celui qui est dans le bain, celui qui est en état de janaba (impureté majeure), la femme en période de menstruation, et la femme en période de lochies. L'auteur de ce livre, qu'Allah soit satisfait de lui, a dit: cela est par détestation, non par interdiction, car celui en état de janaba et la femme en période de menstruation peuvent réciter le Coran sauf les quatre versets: la prosternation de Luqman, Ham (le verset de la prosternation), An-Najm (l'étoile) lorsqu'il décline, et la sourate Lis: 'Lis au nom de ton Seigneur'. L'homme peut réciter le Coran dans les toilettes tant que sa voix n'est pas entendue s'il porte un vêtement couvrant. Quant à l'inclinaison et la prosternation, on ne doit pas y réciter car la mention de la glorification y est préférable, sauf ce qui est mentionné dans la prière de nécessité. Quant aux toilettes, il est obligatoire de protéger le Coran de la récitation. Quant à la femme en période de lochies, elle suit le même statut que la femme en période de menstruation."
