Les cinq traditions pratiquées par Abdul Mutalib durant l'ère de l'ignorance, établies par Dieu dans l'Islam

5-91 Muhammad ibn Ali ibn ash-Shah narrated that Abu Hamid quoted Abu Yazid, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Salih al-Tamimy, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Anas ibn Muhammad Abu Malik, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Ja’far ibn Muhammad as-Sadiq (MGB), on the authority of his father (MGB), on the authority of his grandfather (MGB), on the authority of Ali ibn Abi Talib (MGB) that in his will to Ali (MGB) the Prophet (MGB) told him,“O Ali! Abdul Mutalib practiced five traditions - during the Age of Ignorance - which God established in Islam for his sake. He forbade marrying women to whom your fathers married. Thus, the Honorable the Exalted God revealed ‘And marry not women whom your fathers married,…’ He found a treasure and did not pay the one-fifth levy on it, but gave it away in charity. Then the Honorable the Exalted God revealed, ‘And know that out of all the booty that ye may acquire (in war), a fifth share is assigned to God,- and to the Apostle, and to near relatives, orphans, the needy, and the way-farer,- if ye do believe in God and in the revelation We sent down to Our servant on the Day of Testing,- the Day of the meeting of the two forces. For God hath power over all things.’When he dug up the Zamzam well, he called it ‘the place for the pilgrims to drink from.’ Then God revealed ‘Do ye make the giving of drink to pilgrims, or the maintenance of the Sacred Mosque, equal to (the pious service of) those who believe in God and the Last Day, and strive with might and main in the cause of God? They are not comparable in the sight of God: and God guides not those who do wrong.’ He established one-hundred camels to be the blood-money for unintentional killing. Then the ?Honorable the Exalted God established this in Islam. There was no certain number for the rounds of circumambulation of the Ka’ba. Abdul Mutalib established that to be seven times. Then the Honorable the Exalted God established this in Islam. O Ali! Abdul Mutalib never gambled by raffling with arrows, worshipped idols, or ate what on which the name of other than God was invoked. He used to say, ‘I am the follower of the religion of my (fore)father -Abraham (MGB).’”

"Ô Ali, Abd al-Muttalib avait l'habitude de pratiquer cinq pratiques de la Jahiliyya (période pré-islamique) qu'Allah lui a pardonnées dans l'Islam: il avait interdit aux enfants les femmes de leurs pères, alors Allah a révélé: 'Et n'épousez pas ce que vos pères ont épousé parmi les femmes.' Il trouva un trésor et en donna le cinquième en aumône, alors Allah révéla: 'Sachez que tout butin que vous avez acquis, le cinquième en revient à Allah, au Messager, à ses proches, aux orphelins, aux pauvres, et aux voyageurs dans le besoin, si vous croyez en Allah et en ce que Nous avons révélé à Notre serviteur le jour du Discernement, le jour où les deux groupes se sont rencontrés. Et Allah est Omnipotent sur toute chose.' Quand il creusa Zamzam, il la nomma 'la boisson du pèlerin', alors Allah révéla: 'Avez-vous rendu la fourniture d'eau du pèlerinage et l'entretien de la Mosquée sacrée équivalents à celui qui croit en Allah et au Jour dernier et qui lutte dans le sentier d'Allah? Ils ne sont pas égaux aux yeux d'Allah. Et Allah ne guide pas les gens injustes.' Il avait l'habitude de tuer cent chameaux pour la vengeance, alors Allah a établi cela dans l'Islam. Il n'y avait pas de nombre fixe pour la circumambulation parmi les Quraysh, alors il institua sept circuits pour eux. Ô Ali, Abd al-Muttalib ne jurait pas par les idoles, n'adorait pas les idoles, ne mangeait pas de ce qui était sacrifié pour les idoles, et disait: 'Je suis sur la religion d'Abraham (que la paix soit sur lui).'"
