Admonished against killing six animals

6-18 (The compiler of the book narrated) that his father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Ahmad ibn Idris quoted Muhammad ibn Ahmad, on the authority of Ibrahim ibn Ishaq, on the authority of Al-Hussein ibn Zyad, on the authority of Davood ibn Kaseer al-Roqee, “Once when we were in the presence of Aba Abdullah as-Sadiq (MGB), a man passed by with a swallow in his hand having its head chopped off. The Imam (MGB) stood up, took it from his hand, threw it on the ground and said, ‘Have your learned men or jurisprudents told you to do this? My father (MGB) has narrated to me on the authority of my grandfather (MGB) that God’s Prophet (MGB) has admonished the people against killing the following six: bees; ants; frogs; shrikes; hoopoes and swallows.He (MGB) admonished the people against killing honey bees because they eats pure and good-smelling flowers which the Honorable the Exalted God has revealed to them to do so. They are neither of the genies nor of the men.He (MGB) admonished the people against killing ants because of the following. Once when there was famine in Solomon’s (MGB) time, the peopleset out to the fields to pray to God to send down rain. They saw an ant which was standing up on its two feet with its hands raised up towards the sky and saying, ‘O my God! We are of your creatures! We need your blessings. Please grant us our daily bread and do not chastise us because of the sins of the foolish children of Adam.’ Then Solomon told the people, ‘Go back to your homes since the Blessed the Sublime God will send down rain for you as a result of the supplications of others.’He (MGB) admonished the people against killing frogs because of the following. When they lit a fire to burn Abraham (MGB), all the creatures of the world complained to the Honorable the Exalted God and asked Him to grant them permission to throw water over the fire. The Sublime God did not give permission to any of them except for the frog to do that. The frog threw water over the fire, but two-thirds of its body got burnt and only one third of its body was left. And He (MGB) admonished the people against killing hoopoes because a hoopoe was Solomon’s guide to the territory of Belqays.He (MGB) admonished the people against killing shrikes, because a shrike guided Adam for one month from the Andalib Mountain to the city of Jedda.He (MGB) admonished the people against killing swallows, since they fly around the sky for the sorrow of the wrongs done to the Household of Muhammad (MGB) and say Valazzalin (who go not astray) at the end.”
IsnādAbu Abdullah (as) a dit: Mon père m'a informé, il a dit: Ahmad ibn Idris nous a informé, de la part de Muhammad ibn Ahmad, de la part d'Ibrahim ibn Ishaq, de la part d'al-Husayn ibn Ziyad, de la part de Dawud ibn Kathir al-Raqqi, il a dit: Alors que nous étions assis avec Abu Abdullah (as), un homme est passé devant nous tenant un oiseau abattu dans sa main. Abu Abdullah (as) s'est levé rapidement vers lui et l'a pris de sa main, puis l'a déposé par terre. Ensuite, il a dit: "Puis-je vous informer de quelque chose que votre juriste ne vous a pas dit? Mon père m'a informé, de la part de mon grand-père (as), que le Messager d'Allah (swt) a interdit de tuer six créatures: l'abeille, la fourmi, la grenouille, l'hirondelle, le hibou et l'oiseau hupé."
Quant à l'abeille, elle mange des choses pures et dépose des choses pures, et c'est elle à qui Allah (swt) a révélé. Elle n'est ni un djinn ni un être humain. Quant à la fourmi, ils ont souffert de la sécheresse à l'époque de Salomon fils de David (as), alors ils sont sortis pour demander de l'eau. Lorsqu'ils ont vu une fourmi se tenant sur ses pattes, étendant sa main vers le ciel en disant: "Ô Allah, nous sommes créés de Ta création, nous ne pouvons nous passer de Ta faveur, alors accorde-nous de Ta part et ne nous punis pas pour les péchés des insensés descendants d'Adam." Salomon leur a dit de retourner à leur lieu, car Allah (swt) les avait déjà arrosés par la supplication d'un autre que eux. Quant à la grenouille, lorsqu'elle a vu le feu allumé sur Abraham, elle a porté plainte à Allah (swt) et a demandé la permission de l'éteindre avec de l'eau. Allah (swt) n'a permis à aucun d'entre eux, sauf à la grenouille, et ainsi les deux tiers de la grenouille ont brûlé tandis qu'un tiers est resté. Quant à l'oiseau hupé, il était le guide de Salomon (as) vers la reine de Saba. Quant à l'hirondelle, elle était le guide d'Adam (as) de la région de Serendib à la région de Jeddah pendant un mois. Et en ce qui concerne l'oiseau, son vol dans le ciel est une source de chagrin pour ce qu'il a fait à la famille de Muhammad (swt) et pour sa glorification en récitant "Louange à Allah, Seigneur de l'univers". Ne le voyez-vous pas alors qu'il dit: "Et non pas ceux qui sont égarés.".
