There Are Seven Gates for Hell

7-52 Ahmad ibn al-Hassan al-Qat’tan narrated that Ahmad ibn Yahya ibn Zakariya al-Qat’tan quoted Bakr ibn Abdullah ibn Habib, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Abdullah, on the authority of Ali ibn al-Hikam, on the authority of Aban ibn Uthman, on the authority of Muhammad ibn al-Fazeel al-Rizqi, on the authority of Aba Abdullah as-Sadiq (MGB), on the authority of his father (MGB), on the authority of his grandfather (MGB), “There are seven gates for Hell. One gate is for Pharaoh, Haman and Qarun (Korah) to enter. The second gate is for the polytheists and the atheists to enter Hell who did not believe in God even for the twinkling of an eye. The third gate is especially for the Umayyad clan to enter. No one else will be there. That is the blazing gate. It is the burning gate. It is the swallowing gate which takes them into a depth of seventy Kharives each of which equals eighty years. It pulls them down into the depth of Hell. Once in the depth of Hell there shall be a big smoldering in Hell and they will be thrown back the same distance. This will be repeated continuously and they shall abide therein forever. The fourth gate is especially for our enemies; those who fought with us and those who refused to help us. This gate is the greatest of all and it is the most aflame.”Muhammad ibn al-Fazeel al-Rizqi added, “I told Aba Abdullah as-Sadiq (MGB), ‘Is the gate which you quoted your father on the authority of your grandfather as saying that the Umayyads shall enter meant for those who died as atheists or does it also include those of the Umayyads who accepted Islam?’ The Imam (MGB) replied, ‘O may you lose your mother! Did you not hear that there is an especial gate for the atheists and the polytheists to enter! This gate is for every atheist and polytheist who doesn’t believe in the Resurrection Day and the Reckoning of Deeds. However, there is an especial gate for the Umayyad clan to enter. That gate belongs to Abu Sufyan, Muawiyah and the household of Marvan. They shall enter Hell from that gate and they shall be tortured by its fire such that they cannot breathe. In fact, they are neither dead nor alive there.”
IsnādAhmad ibn al-Hasan al-Qatân a rapporté, d'Ahmad ibn Yahyâ ibn Zakariyâ al-Qatân, de Bakr ibn Abdullah ibn Habîb, de Muhammad ibn Abdullah, d'Ali ibn al-Hakam, d'Abân ibn Uthmân, de Muhammad ibn al-Fadl al-Razi, d'Abu Abdillah, de son père, de son grand-père, que la paix soit sur eux, a dit :
"Le Feu a sept portes : une porte par laquelle entreront Pharaon, Hâmân et Qârûn ; une porte par laquelle entreront les associateurs et les mécréants qui n'ont pas cru en Allah même pour un instant ; une porte réservée aux Banu Umayya, à laquelle nul autre ne pourra les rejoindre, c'est la porte de la fournaise, la porte de Saqar, la porte de la perdition où ils tomberont soixante-dix automnes, et à chaque fois qu'ils tomberont soixante-dix automnes, un groupe sera jeté en haut d'eux soixante-dix automnes, puis ils tomberont ainsi soixante-dix crevasses, et ils resteront ainsi éternellement, sans fin, en étant châtiés ; une porte par laquelle entreront ceux qui nous détestent, nous combattent et nous trahissent, c'est la plus grande des portes et la plus ardente des brûlures." Muhammad ibn al-Fadl al-Razi a dit : "J'ai demandé à Abu Abdillah, que la paix soit sur lui : 'La porte dont tu as mentionné que les Banu Umayya y entreront, est-ce ceux parmi eux qui sont morts dans la mécréance ou ceux parmi eux qui ont embrassé l'Islam ?' Il répondit : 'Tu n'as pas entendu qu'il a dit : 'Une porte par laquelle entreront les associateurs et les mécréants', donc cette porte est pour tout associateur et tout mécréant qui ne croit pas au Jour du Jugement. Et cette autre porte par laquelle entreront les Banu Umayya, c'est pour les Banu Sufyan, Mu'awiya et la famille de Marwan en particulier, ils entreront par cette porte où le Feu les brisera d'un brisement auquel ils ne prêteront pas attention, ils n'y vivront ni ne mourront.'"
