5-17 (The compiler of the book narrated) that his father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Sa’ed ibn Abdullah quoted Ahmad ibn Muhammad, on the authority of Al-Hassan ibn Mahboob, on the authority of Abdul Aziz al-Abdi, on the authority of Ubayd ibn Zurarah, “I asked AbaAbdullah as-Sadiq to tell me about the major sins. The Imam (MGB) told me, ‘They are related to the following five which God has made incumbent not to do upon you. The Honorable the Exalted God has said, ‘Those who unjustly eat up the property of orphans, eat up a Fire into their own bodies: They will soon be enduring a Blazing Fire!’ God has also said, ‘O ye who believe! when ye meet the Unbelievers in hostile array, never turn your backs to them.’ God has also said, ‘O ye who believe! Fear God, and give up what remains of your demand for usury, if ye are indeed believers.’ And accusing married women of adultery and intentionally killing a believer for his belief.’”

Allah, le Puissant et Majestueux, a dit: "Ceux qui dévorent injustement les biens des orphelins ne font que remplir leurs ventres de feu. Et ils brûleront bientôt dans l'Enfer." Et Il a dit: "Ô vous qui avez cru! Lorsque vous rencontrez ceux qui ont mécru en marchant en masse, ne leur tournez point le dos." Et Sa parole: "Ô vous qui avez cru! Craignez Allah et renoncez à ce qui reste de l'intérêt usuraire…" Et la lapidation des femmes adultères négligentes, et le meurtre délibéré d'un croyant en raison de sa religion.

Les grands péchés sont au nombre de cinq, et ils sont parmi les actes pour lesquels Allah a menacé de châtiment par le feu. Il s'agit de l'appropriation injuste des biens des orphelins, du refus de faire face aux ennemis lors des combats, de la pratique de l'usure, de l'adultère des femmes mariées en toute négligence, et du meurtre intentionnel d'un croyant en raison de sa foi.
