5-45 Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Walid - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Muhammad ibn al-Hassan al-Saffar quoted Ahmad ibn Aba Abdullah al-Barqy, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Isa, on the authority of Ubaydullah al-Dihqan, on the authority of Durost, on the authority of Ibrahim ibn Abdul-Hamid, on the authority of Abil Hassan Musa ibn Ja’far al-Kadhim (MGB), “A man went to see the Prophet (MGB) andsaid, ‘O Prophet of God! I have taught my son how to write. What should he engage in now?’ The Prophet (MGB) replied, ‘Have him do any job but the following five: selling shrouds for the dead; working as a goldsmith ; slaughtering quadrupeds; selling wheat; and selling slaves. The reason behind this is as follows. One who sells shrouds for the dead would wish the death of his people, while even a baby from my followers is superior to all the people on the Earth in my sight. A goldsmith would plan to have the people lose their money. When a slaughterer of quadrupeds kills the quadrupeds, he will not forgive others wholeheartedly. A wheat-seller would hoard up the wheat and withhold it from my followers. It would be better if one has stolen something when he meets God, than having hoarded up food for forty days (in order to sell it at a higher price). Selling slaves is a bad job since once Gabriel descended to me and said, ‘Those who sell slaves are the worst people amongst your followers.’’”
IsnādMuhammad ibn al-Hasan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Walid a rapporté: Nous a informés Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Saffar, d'Ahmad ibn Abi Abdullah al-Barqi, de Muhammad ibn Isa, d'Ubayd Allah al-Dahqan, de Durust, d'Ibrahim ibn Abd al-Hamid, d'Abu al-Hasan Musa ibn Ja'far, que la paix soit sur eux, a dit:
Un homme est venu voir le Prophète, que la paix soit sur lui et sa famille, et lui a dit: "Ô Messager d'Allah, j'ai enseigné à mon fils l'écriture, que devrais-je lui enseigner en premier?" Le Prophète a répondu: "Enseigne-lui à dire 'Je témoigne qu'il n'y a de divinité que Dieu et que Muhammad est Son messager', et ne l'enseigne pas cinq choses: ne le fais pas devenir un usurier, un faussaire, un boucher, un marchand de grains ou un usurier. L'homme a demandé: 'Ô Messager d'Allah, qu'est-ce qu'un usurier?' Le Prophète a répondu: 'Celui qui vend des linceuls et souhaite la mort de ma communauté. Pour l'enfant de ma communauté, il est plus cher que ce sur quoi le soleil se lève. Quant au faussaire, il traite injustement ma communauté. Quant au boucher, il sacrifie jusqu'à ce que la miséricorde quitte son cœur. Quant au marchand de grains, il retient la nourriture de ma communauté. Il est plus aimé par Allah qu'un voleur soit présenté devant Lui que quelqu'un qui retient de la nourriture pendant quarante jours. Quant à l'usurier, Gabriel m'a informé: 'Ô Muhammad, les pires de ta communauté sont ceux qui vendent des gens.
