Muhammad ibn al-Hasan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Walid (RA) said; al-Husayn ibn al-Hasan ibn Aban said on the authority of al-Husayn ibn Sa`id, on the authority of al-Nadr ibn Suwayb, on the authority of Ibn Sinan, on the authority of Abu Basir, on the authority of Abu `Abd Allah (AS) that The Commander of the Faithful (AS) said in one of his sermons: I am the Guide. I am the Rightly-Guided. I am the Father of the Poor and the Orphans. I am the Husband of Widows. I am the Refuge of the Weak. I am the Shelter of the Fearful. I am the One who Leads Believers to Paradise. I am the Firm Rope of Allah. I am the Firmest Handle of Allah, and I am the Word of Piety. I am the Eye of Allah. I am His Truthful Tongue, and I am His Hand, I am the Side of Allah who says: `Lest a soul should say: O woe to me! For what I fell short of my duty to Allah.’1 I am the Outspread Hand of Allah towards His Servants, granting mercy and forgiveness. I am the Door of Divine Mercy. Since I am the Successor of the Prophet (sw) on His Earth, and His Proof for His People, whoever recognizes me, and recognizes my right, recognizes His Lord. He who rejects me rejects Allah and His Messenger (sw). The Compiler (RA) of this book says: In Arabic, the side [al-janb] literally means obedience. It is said: “this is little in the side of Allah” which means “this is little in terms of obedience to Allah, the Mighty and High.” Therefore, the meaning of the statement of the Commander of the Faithful (AS): “I am the Side of Allah” is “I am the one whose guardianship [wilayah] represents obedience to Allah. Allah, the Mighty and High said: “Lest a soul should say: O woe to me! For what I fell short of my duty to Allah.”2 i.e. in the obedience of Allah, the Mighty and High.
IsnādNous a informé Muhammad ibn al-Hasan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Walid - qu'Allah lui fasse miséricorde - qui a dit: Nous a informé al-Hussein ibn al-Hasan ibn Aban, de la part d'al-Hussein ibn Saïd, de la part de al-Nadr ibn Suwaid, de la part d'Ibn Sinan, de la part d'Abu Basir, de la part d'Abu Abdullah - sur lui la paix - qui a dit: L'Imam des croyants - sur lui la paix - a dit dans son sermon: "Je suis le guide, je suis celui qui est guidé, je suis le père des orphelins, des pauvres et le mari des veuves, je suis le refuge de tout faible et le protecteur de tout craintif, je suis le guide des croyants vers le Paradis, je suis le lien solide d'Allah, je suis la corde d'Allah la plus ferme, je suis le soutien d'Allah et la parole de piété, je suis l'œil d'Allah, sa langue véridique et sa main, je suis le côté d'Allah qui dit: "Que mon âme ne soit pas perdue pour ce que j'ai manqué du côté d'Allah", je suis la main d'Allah tendue en miséricorde et en pardon envers Ses serviteurs, je suis la porte de la sagesse, celui qui me connaît et connaît mon droit a certes connu son Seigneur, car je suis l'héritier de Son Prophète sur Sa terre, Son argument parmi Ses créatures, celui qui nie cela est certes rebelle envers Allah et Son Messager."
Le compilateur de ce livre - qu'Allah soit satisfait de lui - a dit: "Le côté de l'obéissance dans la langue des Arabes signifie: celui qui est petit du côté d'Allah, c'est-à-dire dans l'obéissance à Allah le Puissant et Majestueux, donc le sens des paroles de l'Imam des croyants - sur lui la paix - "Je suis le côté d'Allah" signifie que ma loyauté est dans l'obéissance à Allah. Allah le Puissant et Majestueux a dit: "Que mon âme ne soit pas perdue pour ce que j'ai manqué du côté d'Allah", c'est-à-dire dans l'obéissance à Allah le Puissant et Majestueux. Chapitre sur le sens de la protection."
