Simak b. Kharasha

1. [1/-] Ilal al-Sharai: Ahmad b. Ziyad b. Ja`far al-Hamdani from Ali b. Ibrahim b. Hashim from his father from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Abi Nasr al-Bazanti and Muhammad b. Abi Umayr from Aban b. Uthman from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: "All the companions of the Messenger of Allah ran away on the day of Uhud – no one was left among them except Ali b. Abi Talib (a.s.) and Abu Dujana Simak b. Kharasha. The Prophet (s.w) said to him: 'O Aba Dujana – don’t you see your people?' he said: 'I do.' The Prophet (s.w) replied: 'Join up with them.' Abu Dujana said: 'This is not what I gave my pledge of allegiance to Allah and His messenger for! The Prophet (s.w) said: 'You are released [from your pledge].' Abu Dujana said: 'By Allah the Quraysh will never get the opportunity to say that I abandoned you and ran away until I taste what you taste!' Then the Prophet (s.w) prayed for a good recompense for him. Whenever a group used to attack Rasulallah – Ali (a.s) would face them and repel them until he had killed a large number of them and injured others. He continued this way until his sword broke so he came to the Prophet (s.w) and said: 'O messenger of Allah – a man can only fight with his weapon but my sword has broken!' So he (the prophet) gave him his sword Dhu al-Fiqar and he (Ali) kept on defending the prophet using it until marks [wound traces] were inflicted on him and he became unrecognizable [because of a multitude of injuries]. Jibril descended and said: 'O Muhammad this is an incomparable support from Ali to you!' So the Prophet (s.w) said: 'He is from me and I am from him!' Jibril replied 'And I am from you both!' they heard a voice from heaven saying: 'There is no sword but Dhu al-Fiqar and the there is no young champion except Ali!'"

Le jour de Uhud, les compagnons du Messager d'Allah furent vaincus, à tel point qu'il ne resta avec lui que 'Ali ibn Abi Talib (que la paix soit sur lui) et Abu Dujana Samak ibn Kharsha. Le Prophète (que la paix et les bénédictions d'Allah soient sur lui) dit à Abu Dujana : "Ô Abu Dujana, ne vois-tu pas ton peuple ?" Il répondit : "Si." Le Prophète dit : "La vérité est avec ton peuple." Il dit : "Ce n'est pas à cause de cela que j'ai donné allégeance à Allah et à Son Messager." Le Prophète dit : "Tu es dans la vérité." Il dit : "Par Allah, les Quraysh ne diront pas que j'ai abandonné et fui jusqu'à ce que je goûte ce que tu goûtes." Le Prophète le récompensa généreusement. Chaque fois qu'un groupe attaquait le Messager d'Allah, 'Ali (que la paix soit sur lui) les affrontait et les repoussait, au point que les combats et les blessures se multiplièrent, jusqu'à ce que son épée se brise. Il vint alors voir le Prophète et lui dit : "Ô Messager d'Allah, un homme combat avec son arme et son épée s'est brisée." Le Prophète lui donna l'épée appelée Dhul-Fiqar. Il continua à la brandir pour défendre le Messager d'Allah jusqu'à ce qu'elle s'ébrécha et se brisa. Gabriel descendit alors et dit : "Ô Muhammad, ceci est un réconfort d'Ali pour toi." Le Prophète dit : "Il est de moi et je suis de lui." Gabriel dit : "Et je suis des deux." Puis un son retentit du ciel : "Il n'y a pas d'épée sauf Dhul-Fiqar et pas de jeune homme sauf 'Ali."
