1. [1/122] Rijal al-Kashshi: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Burathi and Uthman b. Hamid al-Kashshiyan from Muhammad b. Yazdad from Abu Zakariyya from Ismail b. Mihran; Muhammad b. Yazdad from al-Hasan b. Ali b. Nu`man from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Abi Nasr who said: I was at al-Ridha’s (as) place and the evening entered while I was with him, I said: I should leave, he said to me: do not leave for it is evening, he said: so I remained at his place, he said to a slave-girl of his: bring out my sleeping tent and my pillow and lay it out for Ahmad in that room, he said: so when I was in the room I began to feel something [of pride] and I kept on thinking ‘who is like me? I am in the room of the intimate of Allah and on his bed’ so he called out to me: O Ahmad – the commander of the faithful (as) visited Sa`sa`a b. Suhan and then said: O Sa`sa`a do not make my visiting you a source of pride held over your kin, and lower yourself in front of Allah and Allah will raise you.

Muhammad ibn Yazdad de Hasan ibn Ali ibn Nu'man, d'Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr a dit: J'étais chez ar-Rida (paix soit sur lui) et j'y suis resté jusqu'au soir. J'ai dit: "Je vais partir." Il m'a dit: "Ne pars pas, car il est déjà soir." J'ai donc passé la nuit chez lui. Il a dit à sa servante: "Apporte-moi mon tapis et mon oreiller pour les étendre pour Ahmad dans cette pièce." Quand je me suis retrouvé dans la pièce, quelque chose m'a traversé l'esprit, comme si j'étais dans la maison du gardien de Dieu et sur son berceau. Il m'a appelé: "Ô Ahmad, le Commandeur des croyants (paix soit sur lui) a renvoyé Sa'sa'a ibn Suhan. Il a dit: "Ô Sa'sa'a, ne fais pas de ma visite une source de fierté pour ton peuple et humilie-toi devant Dieu, Dieu t'élèvera."
