Sur Celui Qui Sert de la Nourriture à une Personne En Jeûne

3. Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Ali has narrated from Ali ibn Asbat, from Sayabah from Durays from Hamzah ibn Humran who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said that on the first day of his fasting, Ali ibn al-Husayn, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, would ask his people to prepare a sheep for food. In the evening, the cooking pots gave out a fine fragrance while he was fasting, and he would then say, ‘Fill up this pot for the family of so and so and fill up this one for the family of so and so.’ He would then ask for bread and dates for his own dinner. May Allah grant him and his ancestors the compensation worthy of their service to His cause.”

Ali ibn al-Husayn (que la paix soit sur eux) ordonnait, lorsqu'arrivait le jour de jeûne, de sacrifier un mouton, de le découper en morceaux, de le cuire. En soirée, il se penchait sur les marmites jusqu'à sentir l'odeur du bouillon, tout en jeûnant. Puis il disait : "Apportez les bols, servez pour la famille de untel, et servez pour la famille de untel." Ensuite, on lui apportait du pain et des dattes, et c'était son dîner. Que la paix soit sur lui et sur ses ancêtres.

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Harun ibn Muslim from Mas’adah from abu ‘Abd Allah, from his father, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, who has said the following: “Once, during the month of Ramadan, Sadir went to visit abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam. The Imam asked, ‘O Sadir, do you know which nights are these days?’ He replied, ‘Yes, I pray to Allah to keep my soul and the soul of my father in service for your cause, these are the nights of the month of Ramadan, but what do they signify?’ The Imam then said, ‘Can you set free ten slaves from the descendants of Isma‘il in every one of these nights?’ Sadir replied, ‘I pray to Allah to keep the souls of my parents in service for your cause, my belongings are not that much.’ The Imam then reduced the number of slaves until it was only one slave, but he kept saying, ‘My belongings are not enough.’ The Imam then asked, ‘Can you serve food to a Muslim every night.’ He replied, ‘Yes, I can do so. I can even serve food to ten people every night.’ The Imam then said, ‘That is what I meant, O Sadir. Your serving food to your Muslim brother is equal in reward to setting free of ten slaves from the descendants of Isma‘il.’”

qui a dit : "Sadeer est entré chez mon père (que la paix soit sur lui) pendant le mois de Ramadan et lui a demandé : 'Ô Sadeer, sais-tu quelles sont ces nuits?' Il répondit : 'Oui, que mon père te sacrifie, ce sont les nuits du mois de Ramadan.' Mon père lui demanda alors : 'Peux-tu affranchir chaque nuit de ces nuits dix esclaves issus de la descendance d'Ismaël?' Sadeer lui répondit : 'Par mon père et ma mère, je ne possède pas cela.' Il continua à diminuer jusqu'à ce qu'il atteigne une seule personne par nuit, en disant : 'Je n'en suis pas capable.' Mon père lui demanda alors : 'Peux-tu nourrir chaque nuit un homme musulman?' Il répondit : 'Oui, et dix.' Mon père lui dit : 'C'est ce que je voulais, ô Sadeer. En effet, ton iftar (rupture du jeûne) nourrir un frère musulman équivaut à affranchir un esclave de la descendance d'Ismaël.'
