Le Cas de Celui qui Accomplit le Hajj au Nom de ses Proches, Partiellement ou Entièrement

2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from certain persons of our people from ‘Amr ibn ’Ilyas who has said the following: “I performed al-Hajj with my father and I was al-Sarura (one who performs al-Hajj for the first time). I said that I like to perform al-Hajj for my mother who was dead. He said allow me to ask abu ‘ Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about it. ’Ilyas then spoke about it with abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, when I was listening. ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, my son, this one, is al- Sarura (one who performs al-Hajj for the first time). His mother has died and he likes to perform al- Hajj for her, if it is permissible. Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, said, ‘It will be written for him and for her and for him a reward for kindness will also be recorded.’”

3. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ibn abu Nasr from Safwan al-Jammal who has said the following: “I once went to visit abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, when al-Harith ibn al-Mughirah also came and said, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause. I have a daughter who looks after every one of my things and she is the first one. Can I assign my al-Hajj for her? He (the Imam) said, ‘The reward for al-Hajj will be for her and you will have a similar reward without any reduction in her reward.’”

Il a dit : "En vérité, elle aura sa récompense et tu auras pareil, et rien de sa récompense ne te sera enlevé."

4. Abu Ali al-Ash’ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “I once asked abu Ibrahim, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about a man who assigns his al-Hajj or al-‘Umrah or part of his Tawaf for his family who is absent in some other land; if it reduces from his reward. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, it is for him and his companion, and he will have additional rewards because of maintaining good relation.’ I then asked, ‘If that party is dead will it reach him?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, even if that party is subject to anger, he will be forgiven or if he is under pressure, he will be relieved.’ I then asked, ‘Will he notice that such a deed has approached him?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, he will notice.’ I then asked, ‘Even if he is hostile to ’A’immah, will it benefit him?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, it will provide him relief.’”

J'ai demandé : "Que pensez-vous d'un homme qui accomplit le Hajj et la 'Umrah, ou une partie de son Tawaf, pour certains membres de sa famille alors qu'il est absent dans un autre pays ?" Il a répondu : "Cela ne diminue pas sa récompense. Il aura sa récompense ainsi que la personne pour qui il l'a fait, en plus de ce qui lui parvient. J'ai demandé : "Et s'il est décédé, cela lui sera-t-il bénéfique ?" Il a dit : "Oui, jusqu'à ce qu'il soit irrité, et alors il sera pardonné, ou qu'il soit contrarié, et alors il sera apaisé." J'ai dit : "S'il est responsable de dettes, cela lui sera-t-il bénéfique ?" Il a répondu : "Oui, cela lui sera allégé."

5. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali from Hammad ibn ‘Uthaman from al- Harith ibn al-Mughirah who has said the following: “I once said to abu ‘ Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, in al-Madinah after my return from Makkah that I wanted to assign my al-Hajj for my daughter. He (the Imam) said, ‘Assign it for her now.’”

"J'ai dit à Abu Abdullah (sur lui soit la paix) alors que j'étais à Médine après être revenu de La Mecque: "Je veux accomplir le pèlerinage pour ma fille." Il a répondu: "Fais-le pour elle maintenant."

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isma’il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from ibn abu ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn al-Hakam who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about assigning a share of one’s al-Hajj for his father, brother or relatives. He (the Imam) said, ‘Obviously, al-Hajj will be written for you like their al-Hajj, in addition to the reward for your maintaining good relation, with relatives.’”

concernant l'homme qui associe son père, son frère et ses proches dans son pèlerinage, il a été dit : "Alors il te sera écrit un pèlerinage équivalent au leur, et tu seras récompensé en plus pour ce que tu as transmis."

7. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from ibn abu Nasr, from Ali ibn abu Hamzah, from abu Basir who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘For keeping good relations if one joins his father or relatives in the reward of performing Tawaf, he receives his reward completely; and one, for whom Tawaf is made, receives his reward, and for keeping good relations, there is additional reward like one more Tawaf.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘If one performs al-Hajj and assigns the reward for it to a relative, he will have the reward for a complete al-Hajj and a similar reward is for one on whose behalf al-Hajj is performed. Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, is the one who expands such a reward.’”

Celui qui maintient le lien avec son père ou un proche parent, et qui effectue le tawaf (circumambulation) à sa place, recevra la récompense complète, et celui qui effectue le tawaf à sa place recevra une récompense équivalente à la sienne. Il sera préférable dans sa relation avec lui en effectuant une autre circumambulation. Et celui qui accomplit le pèlerinage en faveur d'un parent, établissant ainsi le lien avec lui, son pèlerinage sera complet, et celui qui accomplit le pèlerinage pour lui recevra une récompense équivalente à la sienne. Certes, Allah est Vaste en récompense pour cela.

8. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from certain persons of our people from Ali ibn Muhammad al- Ash‘ath from Ibrahim al-Hadramiy from his father who has said the following: “I once returned from Makkah and met abu al-Hassan, Musa, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, in the Masjid sitting between the pulpit and the grave. I said, ‘O child of the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, when I go out to Makkah, perhaps a man asks me to perform a Tawaf and two Rak‘at Salat (prayer) for him, but I become busy and cannot do so. When I return I do not know what to say to him. He (the Imam) said, ‘When you go to Makkah and complete the acts, perform a Tawaf and two Rak‘at Salat (prayer). Then say, ‘O Lord, this Tawaf and these two Rak‘at are for my father, mother, wife, children, my protectors, and for all of the people of my city, the free and slaves, white and black.’ Thereafter if you say to a man that you have performed Tawaf and two Rak‘at Salat (prayer) for him, you will be truthful. When you come to the grave of the Holy prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to your cause, after completing what is obligatory upon you, perform two Rak‘at Salat (prayer). Then stand near the head of the Holy prophet, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, and say, ‘I offer you greeting of peace, O the Holy prophet of Allah. I do this for my father, mother, wife, children, all of my protectors, all people of my city, the free ones, the slaves, the white and black ones.’ Thereafter if you say to a man that you have offered greeting of peace to the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, for him, you have remained truthful.’”

"Je suis revenu de La Mecque et j'ai rencontré Abu al-Hassan Musa (que la paix soit sur lui) dans la mosquée, assis entre la tombe et la chaire. Je lui ai dit : 'Ô fils du Messager d'Allah, quand je sors pour La Mecque, il se peut qu'un homme me dise : fais le tawaf pendant une semaine et fais deux rakats, et je suis occupé par cela. Quand je reviens, je ne sais pas quoi lui dire.' Il a dit : 'Quand tu viens à La Mecque et que tu as accompli tes rites, fais le tawaf pendant une semaine et fais deux rakats, puis dis : 'Ô Allah, ce tawaf et ces deux rakats sont au nom de mon père, de ma mère, de ma femme, de mes enfants, de ma servante, et de tous les habitants de ma ville, libres ou esclaves, blancs ou noirs. Si tu dis à quelqu'un que tu as fait le tawaf pour lui et prié deux rakats pour lui, tu seras sincère. Quand tu viens à la tombe du Prophète (que la paix soit sur lui et sa famille) et que tu as accompli ce qui est obligatoire pour toi, fais deux rakats, puis arrête-toi à la tête du Prophète (que la paix soit sur lui et sa famille) et dis : 'Que la paix soit sur toi, ô Prophète d'Allah, de la part de mon père, de ma mère, de ma femme, de mes enfants, de toutes mes servantes, et de tous les habitants de ma ville, libres ou esclaves, blancs ou noirs. Si tu dis à quelqu'un que tu as salué le Prophète d'Allah de sa part, tu seras sincère.'"

9. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isma’il who has said the following: “I once asked abu al-Hassan, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, as to with how many people I can share my al-Hajj. He (the Imam) said, ‘You can share with whatever number of people you want.’”

J'ai demandé à Aba al-Hasan (que la paix soit sur lui) combien je devrais associer dans mon pèlerinage. Il a répondu : Autant que tu le souhaites.

10. Ahmad ibn ‘Abd Allah has narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from abu ‘Imran al-Armaniy from Ali ibn al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said that abu ‘ Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ’Even if you share your al-Hajj with a thousand people, still there will be one al-Hajj for every one without any reduction in your al-Hajj.’”

"Abu Abdullah (que la paix soit sur lui) a dit : Si tu associais mille partenaires à ta cause, chacun aurait un argument sans que ton propre argument ne soit diminué en rien."
