1. Muhammad b. Ali b. al-Hussain b. Musa b. Babawayh al-Faqih al-Qummi the author of this book (rah) who said it was narrated to me by my father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Muhammad b. al-Hassan b. Abi al-Khattab from Safwan b. Yahya from Ishaq b. Ghalib from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said that a monk from Bani Israel worshipped Allah so much that he become like a dry stick. Allah, the Mighty and Sublime revealed to His prophet of that time to go and say to him that (Allah says), “By My Greatness, Might and Power, even if you worship Me till you melt like something in the cooking pot, also, I will not accept it from you until you come to Me from the door I have ordered for you.”
IsnādMuhammad ibn Ali ibn al-Husayn ibn Musa ibn Babawayh al-Faqih al-Qummi, l'auteur de ce livre, a dit : Mon père m'a rapporté, qui a dit : Saad ibn Abdullah m'a rapporté, de Muhammad ibn al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Khattab, de Safwan ibn Yahya, d'Is'haq ibn Ghalib, d'Abi Abdullah (as) a dit : Abdullah était un scribe parmi les scribes des Enfants d'Israël, jusqu'à ce qu'il devienne comme un chameau. Alors Allah, Puissant et Majestueux, a révélé au Prophète de son époque : Dis-lui, par Mon Honneur, Ma Majesté et Ma Puissance, si tu M'adorais jusqu'à te dissoudre comme se dissout le sel dans l'eau, Je n'accepterais rien de toi tant que tu ne viendrais pas à Moi par la porte que Je t'ai prescrite.
