Punishment of taking Allah’s oath falsely

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “One who takes Allah’s oath knowing that he is lying, it is as if he has waged a war against Allah.”
IsnādAbi Rah a dit: Sa'd ibn Abdullah m'a informé, d'après Ahmad ibn Muhammad, d'après Ibn Faddal, d'après Tha'alabah ibn Maymun, d'après Ya'qub ibn al-Ahmar, qui a dit: Abu Abdillah (as) a dit:
Celui qui prête serment en mentant délibérément, Allah, Puissant et Majestueux, le démasquera.
2. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “Surely taking false oaths in times of helplessness causes entire cities to become vacant of its residents.”
IsnādMuhammad ibn Ali Majilawayh m'a informé, de la part de Muhammad ibn Abi al-Qasim, de la part de Muhammad ibn Ali al-Qurashi, de la part d'Ali ibn Uthman ibn Wazir, de la part de Muhammad ibn Furat, le neveu de Hammad al-Sayrafi, de la part de Jabir ibn Yazid, de la part d'Abu Ja'far عليه السلام.
Le Messager d'Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم a dit : "Méfiez-vous de la main droite [la patience] du transgresseur, car elle fait périr les demeures avec leurs habitants."
3. Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) narrates that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “Keep away from taking false oaths because it causes the cities to become vacant of its residents.”

Le Messager d'Allah ص a dit : "Méfiez-vous de l'impudique patience, car elle détruit les demeures avec leurs habitants."
4. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “Taking false oaths in case of helplessness causes entire cities to become vacant of its residents.”
IsnādMuhammad ibn al-Hasan m'a informé, il a dit: Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Saffar m'a informé, de Ja'far ibn Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd Allah ibn Maymun, de Abi 'Abdillah (al-Sadiq), de son père, de ses ancêtres, il a dit: Le Messager d'Allah (que la paix soit sur lui) a dit: "La main droite est la patience pour celui qui commet des péchés; elle repousse les calamités."

5. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “False oaths bring along poverty and hunger with them.”
IsnādMuhammad ibn al-Hasan m'a informé, il a dit: Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Saffar m'a informé, de Ya'qub ibn Yazid, d'Abd al-Rahman ibn Hammad, de Hanan ibn Sadir, de Malihi ibn Abi Bakr al-Shaybani, il a dit: [Le Messager d'Allah ص] a dit: Abu Abdillah ع a dit: "La main droite menteuse engendre la pauvreté pour les générations futures."
"La main droite menteuse engendre la pauvreté pour les générations futures."
6. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah from Muhammad b. Ali al-Kufi from Ali b. Hamad from Abi Ya’qub from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “The punishment of taking false oath is given to the person within forty days in this world itself.”
IsnādMuhammad ibn al-Hasan m'a informé, il a dit: Sa'd ibn Abdullah m'a informé, d'Ahmad ibn Abi Abdullah, de Muhammad ibn Ali al-Kufi, d'Ali ibn Hammad, d'Abi Ya'qub, d'Abi Abdullah (que la paix soit sur lui) a dit:
"La main droite est la cuillère avec laquelle on attend quarante jours."
7. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah from his father from Muhammad b. Yahya al-Khazaz and Muhammad b. Sinan and Abdillah b. al-Mughira from Talha b. Zayd from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “False oaths are the reason behind ‘transfer of mercy’.” Upon being asked the meaning, Imam (a.s.) replied, “Transfer of mercy means spread of diseases.” Muhammad bin Yahya has narrated it as being heavy instead of being transferred.”
IsnādAbi Rah a dit: Sa'd ibn Abdullah m'a informé, d'après Ahmad ibn Abi Abdullah, d'après son père, de Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Khazzaz, de Muhammad ibn Sinan, et d'Abdullah ibn al-Mughirah, de Talhah ibn Zaid, de Abi Abdullah عليه السلام.
"Certes, la main droite pécheresse peut causer la rupture des liens de parenté." J'ai demandé: "Que signifie 'causer la rupture des liens de parenté'?" Il a répondu: "Elle coupe les liens de parenté. Quant à Muhammad ibn Yahya, il a rapporté: 'Les liens de parenté sont coupés en raison de la main droite pécheresse.'"
8. Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) said, “Taking false oaths and breaking relations are the causes of emptying cities of their residents and transfer of mercy. Transfer of mercy causes the cutting off of the progeny.”
IsnādMuhammad ibn Musa ibn al-Mutawakkil m'a informé, il a dit: Abdallah ibn Ja'far al-Himyari m'a informé, de la part d'Ahmad ibn Mahbub, de la part de Malik ibn Atiyya, de la part d'Abi Ubaydah al-Hadhha', de la part d'Abi Ja'far (as), qu'il a dit:
Dans le livre d'Ali (as), il est rapporté qu'effectivement la main droite menteuse et la rupture des liens de parenté abandonnent les maisons de leurs habitants, les laissant dans la misère, et déplacent les liens de parenté. En effet, le déplacement des liens de parenté entraîne la stérilité.
9. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakil who said it was narrated to me by Ali b. al-Hussain al-Sa’dabadi from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah from al-Bazanti b. Ali from Hareez from some of his companions from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “If a man swears falsely due to which there is a loss of wealth or right of a Muslim, he has made Hell obligatory on himself.”
IsnādMuhammad ibn Musa ibn al-Mutawakkil m'a informé, il a dit: Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Sa'dabadi m'a informé, de la part d'Ahmad ibn Abi Abdullah, de la part d'al-Bazanti ibn Ali, de la part de Hariz, de certains de ses compagnons, de la part d'Abu Abdallah (que la paix soit sur lui) a dit:
La main droite est la souricière qui entraîne le feu. Un homme jure par le droit d'un musulman sur la confiscation de son bien.
10. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar from Ya’qub b. Yazid from Muhammad b. Abi ’Umayr from Ibrahim b. Abdul-Hameed from Abi al-Hassan a Sheikh from our companions from Abi Ja’far (a.s.) who said: “The Almighty Allah has created a giant white cock whose head is near the Divine throne and legs extending to the depth of seven layers of earth. One of its wings covers the entire east and another, the entire west, when open. No cock crows unless this cock does. When this cock wants to crow, it moves its wings and murmurs: Sub-h’aanallaahi Sub-h’aanallahil A’z’eemilladhee laisa kamithlihi shai. The Almighty Allah replies: A person who swears falsely by Me has no faith on Me in accordance with your saying.”
IsnādMuhammad ibn al-Hasan m'a informé, il a dit: Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Saffar m'a informé, de Ya'qub ibn Yazid, de Muhammad ibn Abi Umair, d'Ibrahim ibn Abd al-Hamid, de Abi al-Hasan, un cheikh parmi nos compagnons, de Abi Ja'far عليه السلام, qui a dit:
Certes, Allah, Puissant et Majestueux, a créé un coq blanc, dont le cou est sous le Trône, et ses pattes atteignent les confins du septième ciel. Il a une aile à l'est et une aile à l'ouest. Ce coq ne crie pas jusqu'à ce qu'il crie, et quand il le fait, il bat des ailes. Puis il dit: "Gloire à Allah, gloire à Allah, gloire à Allah, le Grand, envers Qui nul ne jure en mentant."
11. Salman was passing by a graveyard. He said, “O believers and Muslims residing inside the graves, my salutations be upon you. O those who are lying here! Do you know that today is Friday?” He returned home and slept. He saw a man in his dream who said, “O servant of Allah! Salutations be upon you too. We heard whatever you said. You saluted us and we are giving you the reply. You had asked us whether we knew that today is Friday. We even know what birds say on Friday.” Salman asked, “What do birds say on Friday?” The man replied, “They say: Pure is our Glorious Allah Who is Great and there is none like Him. A person who swears falsely for the Lord is not aware of His greatness.”
IsnādAbi Rah a dit: Muhammad ibn Yahya m'a informé, qui a dit: Ahmad ibn Abi Abdullah m'a informé, de son père, de Muhammad ibn Sinan, d'Abi al-Jarud, d'un homme d'Abd al-Qays, de Salman, que Dieu lui fasse miséricorde, a dit: "Il passa près des tombes et dit: 'Paix soit sur vous, ô habitants des tombes, parmi les croyants et les musulmans, ô habitants des demeures! Savez-vous que ce jour est un jour de rassemblement?' Quand il rentra chez lui, il s'endormit et l'ange de la mort vint à lui et dit: 'Paix soit sur toi, ô Aba Abdullah. Tu as parlé, nous avons entendu et nous avons répondu. Tu as dit: 'Savez-vous que ce jour est un jour de rassemblement?' Nous savons ce que disent les oiseaux le jour du vendredi.' Il demanda: 'Et que disent les oiseaux le jour du vendredi?' L'ange de la mort répondit: 'Ils disent: 'Saint, Saint, notre Seigneur, le Miséricordieux, le Souverain, dont la grandeur est incommensurable, notre Seigneur, celui qui jure par Son nom est un menteur.'"
Ce hadith met en lumière l'importance du jour de rassemblement, le vendredi, et mentionne la glorification des oiseaux de Dieu en ce jour sacré.
12. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Muhammad b. al-Hussain b. Abi al-Khattab from Hamad b. Isa from al-Hussain b. al-Mukhtar from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “One who swears by Allah, should prove his words true. One who cannot prove it, there is no value for him in Allah’s view. Hence one who swears by Allah, should please Allah. If he is not able to please Allah, there will be no value for him in Allah’s view.”

Celui qui jure par Allah doit dire la vérité, et celui qui ne dit pas la vérité n'a rien à voir avec Allah le Très Haut. Et celui qui jure par Allah doit être satisfait, et celui qui n'est pas satisfait n'a rien à voir avec Allah le Très Haut.
